Yep. So I thought.

But my Jake muse returned really suddenly, and now I’m itching to write him again – although I’ve changed a lot (as has my writing ability) since I first made this blog.

would anybody happen to know of a "forgotten email" option for tumblr blogs??? like, a way to log in if you've forgotten your email? because i currently can't log into my main account (oldastime-foreveryoung) - i think yahoo deleted my email for it because of inactivity??? when i tried logging in to the address on yahoo, it said there wasn't an email with that address, so i'm pretty sure it's been deleted.

i honestly don't know what to do. i'm still logged into my account on my 3ds, but i can't change the email from there. if there's nothing i can do now, i'm going to have to wait two weeks and pray that i'm still logged in on my phone/laptop at home and can change the email from there.

so please, if anybody else has had this kind of problem before, or has any idea what to do, please help me out. i'm really worried because i spent a lot of time on that account and i don't want to have to start a new one

Hey, guys! As the URL thelastpreacherleft has been taken (though I'll be contacting the person who saved it to ask if I may have it back,) this is currently the sideblog I'm moving Jake to. Honestly, I think it'll work out a lot better like this; I've already gotten a few of my old replies done in just the day or so since I made this new blog, whereas I'd gone two months without writing Jake when I had him on a separate account.

So if you're at all interested in RPing with Jake still, please go follow over there. :) I'll try to write up some starters soon for any new people.

look, i doubt it's a url that a lot of people want, but it's one that i'm very attached to. so unless it was a freak coincidence that somebody wanted that url within the couple of minutes i'd given it up, may i please ask to have it back? i don't want to make a fuss, but like i said - i'm very attached to it. it's the name i've associated with jake and my blog for him for as long as i've had it (which is almost a year now,) so if at all possible, i really would like to continue using it.

Announcement

So, stepping back from this blog for a while has given me some perspective on why I don't come on here as often. It's not because I've stopped wanting to write Jake; I honestly still do. But I've discovered a couple of things about the way I RP, and I'm just going to put them here quickly. Just read the bolded stuff if you want the gist of it.

1) I struggle to keep a strong muse unless my muse has strong relationships with other characters. Now, this doesn't matter so much when I'm just starting a blog, but after a while, I want to have those relationships where I can just pop into someone's askbox IC and start a quick, silly thread with them without any worries about it. Though I did have some relationships like that with Jake, most of those RPers have restarted their accounts or lost their muses, so he was starting to feel pretty lonely, and I was feeling swamped under a lot of threads that - frankly - didn't feel like they had a lot of depth to them. I need that depth to make me want to write. It's nothing against anything else; it's just something I've discovered about myself as a writer and RPer.

2) I struggle with keeping up multiple blogs if I have to switch accounts for them. This is the big thing for me. If I have to log out and log back in every time I want to change characters, I'm probably not going to do it, because it feels like too much effort for a simple task.

As such...

I am going to be moving this blog to a sideblog on a different account of mine.The URL will still be thelastpreacherleft.

I will, for the most part, be starting anew. While there are still one or two relationships I would like to keep, for the most part, I'd like to start on a fresh slate. If your muse's relationship with Jake is one I'd like to keep, I'll message you and let you know. If you would like to keep your muse's relationship with Jake, message me and let me know.

I understand that some people don't like RPing with sideblogs, but honestly, I just find it easier to keep track of.

I will post a link to the new blog once I have made it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. :)

I'm hoping that, by doing this, I'll get back to using Jake at least a little bit more than I have been for the past few months.

I think one of the reasons I lost my muse for Jake was because I was trying to overextend myself - following too many people, trying to do too many threads. So I'll be dropping some of my threads and unfollowing some people, just to clean up my dash and blog a bit.

I might also try to set up a bit of a schedule for when I go on what blogs, just to remind myself to actually go onto my different blogs every once in a while. I'm not sure yet, but I figure it's worth a shot. I really do miss writing Jake.

So! I will try and get back on here sometime within the next week, and send out asks letting people know which threads I've decided to keep and which I've dropped. If I don't, feel free to come and bug me over here, where I'm spending most of my time these days.
