That is true, if this place broke they would finally have to face their own demons.
You're gettng too serious for your own good, sweetheart.
A Taste of Revenge - Dylan & Bela
She let out a long sigh as her eyes moved around. Just like every other night, Dylan was out to check the borders and like every other night she could see several humans and demons doing exactly the same on the other side of the shield. Human or demon, unforunately the brunette had to admit that the humans got less with every day that passed. At the beginning there were only humans around the Hollows, making sure that no freak would leave the safe haven to have a bite - but now? Now almost every pair of eye that made eye contact with her, turned black before a devilish smile lightened up their faces. It would be a lie if Dylan would say that it didnāt worry her or that it didnāt scare her - it did. She was scared because the demons were coming closer and she was worried about every citizen in the Hollows, no matter if hunter or a supernatural being. Worried about the freaks, Dylan smiled to herself as that thought came into her mind. If someone wouldāve said to Dylan that she would soon protect the freaks instead of killing them, she wouldāve probably kill that person. The turn indeed changed everythingā¦.
Anyway, the warlock eventually got pulled out of her thoughts as she walked around the next corner just to see an old friend getting surrounded by a few hunters. āDĆ©jĆ” vuā, she mumbled to herself, trying to hold back a laughter. It was indeed a dĆ©jĆ” vu because thatās how she had met Bela a couple of years ago - surrounded by hunters who got fooled by the woman.
āNeed some help?ā, she called, a smug smile on her lips as she walked closer to the scene. Who she meant? Well, Dylan would spontaneously decide which side she would help. After all, she was holding a grudge against her former friend as well.
She had one gun on her person, a knife stuck to her thigh, but that was it. Going to meet Lilithās baby sitter, she hadnāt expected much danger. But while she might have been able to hold off one or two attackers, it would be impossible for her to hold back this group of hunters- even with her incredible aim. Perhaps this was her fault, perhaps she should learn to be more on guard when she went around burning bridges. But really she trusted these hunters to have more balls and not be so butt hurt about getting their bottoms burned one or two times by her. They all knew her name anyways, her reputation proceeded her at times ā it was their fault for trusting her.
Though she relied on their lack of judgment most of the time. So it was a good thing in its own respect.
āI get it,ā she addressed them with perhaps too casual of a tone. āYouāre angry, so sorry about that.ā Her tone told them she was anything but sorry for their strife. She heard a growl of protest, but honestly couldnāt be bothered to remember who it was, or why they were particularly angry. Really if she devoted any time to attempting to remember who allĀ those she had done wrong to in her life, she would run out of functioning space for her brain.
Bela decided that talking in this situation would hardly get her anywhere. And she prepared to aim, her finger tensing on the trigger, but there was a voice which made her stop short, spin about, and level her gun at them.
āOh youāve got to be kidding meā¦ā she muttered under her breath, rolling her eyes. Of course. Who else would organize a little revenge meeting than the one woman who couldnāt seem to get over her revenge. The idea that Dylan might have been speaking to her never crossed her mind, although she wasnāt sure why she didnāt shoot the woman on the spot. Perhaps she wanted her to suffer more than that.
āA lovely party youāve organized here for me Dylan, and I greatly appreciate it, but Iām afraid Iām too exhausted for this affair.ā
Devil in a New Dress - Kol & Bela
It was rather sad, the realization that Bela Talbot had been in the Hollows for a few weeks now, and found herself so occupied that she had little time to venture out in the nightlife. Between scoping out exactly who she needed to defend her back from, and being summoned by Lilithās baby sitters at every occasion, there was little time to get all dolled up and scope the town for more personal interests. After all, she was a woman with her own needs beyond rolling naked in her own riches.
However, it seemed tonight she would be satisfying both aspects of her life. Meeting one of Hollowās founders could be called pure luck, but she learned quite some time ago to never leave things to luck or chance. Whatever it was, she was going to use this little meeting to her advantage. He could know things which would be invaluable, things which she might have to otherwise bend backwards to learn. But here she was gaining his delivery with the nice little package disguised as a simple drink together. What more could she ask for? If she played her cards right, which she had little doubt that she would, she could have a one way ticket to the very dagger which she so desperately sought out. And it would bring her one step closer to getting the hell out of this town. She wanted nothing more than to see that contract with Lilith torn to shreds. Bela had never functioned well in shackles.
The atmosphere ofĀ the club could be felt as soon as she saw it on the street. The sound of music, deep and pulsating, the chatter of people, and the odd smoker or two leaned against the outside of the building. It was a scene that she hadnāt witnessed for quite some time. Too long in fact. Bela might not have been a beer at the bar kind of girl, but she could never really resist this sort of atmosphere. It was the sort of place you went to forget your troubles, forget who you were, and become someone else under the flashing lights.
She flashed her i.d. with a simple smile at the bouncer before slipping inside. She assumed that the bar would be the easiest place to unite with her date, and so she moved to do just that. She ordered herself something, and within a few moments had her fingertips tracing across the sweat which dripped from a cold drink. Her eyes scanned the room briefly, but saw nothing of interest. Only others enjoying what was left of their life, she was sure. Tossing their cares to the wind to dance close to someone who in the morning might be their mortal enemy.
A Taste of Revenge - Dylan & Bela
Bela hugged the thin coat tighter around her body, doing her best not to quicken the pace of her steps. God she hated them all, all those things that went bump in the night. Most of all she hated the demons she sold her soul to. Not that she ever regretted the choice. She had no time to regret choices she made in this life, it was a waste to mourn things you could no longer change. She could have expected this, being used like a puppet who could be summoned whenever her owner tugged a string. It ate away at her pride, to be such a minion, and there was very little of her pride left anymore.
Tonight there was chill in the air that she was sure had to do with the creature she had just finished speaking to. When one was aware of what was out there in the world, you stopped believing in coincidences. One action was always the direct result of another, nothing was just brought upon by chance. The world was a carefully oiled machine, and even the fucked up things that could happen were meant to.
And so she was not surprised that this was a miserable night when she was supposed to meet with one of the demons who Lilith spoke through. She was being baby sat, patrolled like a high risk prisoner. She was surprised she was allowed to dress in the morning without one popping by to do a full body cavity check. Ā Then again, they knew who they were dealing with quite well ā she could be slippery.
It was just inside the border of the city, when she had sighed softly at the walk it would take to get back to her place, when she heard it. A shifting in the trees, the tingle of awareness that she was not alone. Her fingers slipped to her pocket, finger curling around the trigger of her gun. She barely had time to count to three before she pivoted quickly on her heel, gun drawn sharply. Only she found herselfĀ face to face with not man, but several. Women and men, at least five of them who looked none too happy to see her.
āOh lovelyā¦ā she cursed under her breath as the features of the group became clear in the moonlight. She knew each and every one of them, and they were all figures which she had never hoped to see again. With her gun drawn she had noĀ patienceĀ to hear their guilt ridden speeches. Her eyes glanced behind her, but she found they circled her, leaving her no space to run.
Ā Iām surprised you are not bored out of your mind. That is very true iām surprised so many people around here are still alive.
Perhaps people are not so eager as they let on to mess up the one last chance at safety they have.
Business, why am i not surprised. Iāve only been here a few days, iām not dead so i guess itās fine.
A girl has to keep her self entertained after all.
But really, a couple of days could be seen as a great accomplishment.
I guess you could say that, what brought you here anyway?
I suppose you could say I'm here on business... and you? Are you finding it safe here within the walls of the Hallows?
I never thought iād see you around here.
Well, aren't all sorts of old ghosts from the past popping up. Those I suppose it's to be expected now a days...
Well now that's done...
Didnāt you listen to me? I sold them and gave them away. Pretty sure that you wonāt find themā¦your customers are smarter than you think, Bela.
UnderestimateĀ me all you want, Sweetheart. You'll regret it soon enough.Ā
