posting something meant to be pregnancy on main and being able to somehow hide it by just not putting preg tags. I am So Scared.

god it feels weird actually deciding to talk about labor & delivery on this blog because just the amount of times I’ve seen birth get bastardized from communities that are literally about pregnancy is just. Sad.

example I keep on seeing. putting the birthing parent through a shit ton of pain because the only position the artist wants them to labor in is lying on their back with practically no one to help them, just for said artist to act like labor is some awful torturous state… my sibling in this world, THE REASON THEY’RE IN SEVERE PAIN IS BECAUSE THEIR BODY ISN’T COMFORTABLE. yes, labor is a very painful experience, but putting someone through the worst possible shit and acting like it’s normal is just going to exasperate the process.

might just be because I’m extremely sappy for a nice and safe labor. or the fact that people don’t treat pregnant parents with enough respect in real life—especially when giving birth.
