Are you queer? Are you having thoughts or feelings about the state of the world?
If that sounds like you, you should 100% totally submit a response to my research form and have a chance at having your words in my artwork!
(This is more of a desperate plea lol)
Feel free to answer in any format you want, long or short, optimistic or pessimistic, poetic or academic. All is welcome!
In progress
I recently finished reading Sasha Velour’s manifesto ‘The Big Reveal’ and in it she describes some of her childhood and how she came to terms with being bullied by celebrating the insults that were thrown at them. In particular she explains being called ‘Vampire’, I’ve wanted to create a portrait of Sasha for a couple months now but this celebration of her vampy vibe felt fitting for the late October season.
Great book btw, a gorgeously written history of drag as it relates to her personal journey. If anything the last chapter alone makes the whole book worthwhile.
Finished!
Never posted the final version of this so here it is:
Over the summer I had the opportunity to work with my brother and his band Pinball, 1973 and paint the cover to their first single ‘WIP’! It was a blast working with them and creating a joint effort piece of art. Go check out their music!

Two new-ish finished projects.
The jesus stained glass window is on scratch board, and the still life is in charcoal.
Some recent creative endeavours
Haven’t posted here in a minute so here’s some recent artwork, plus one work in progress.
The landscape is a recent study/attempt at abstraction in that format
The construction workers are currently being worked on for my brother’s band’s first EP release titled ‘work in progress’
And last, but not least, my favourite summer painting so far of Violet Chachki!!!! She’s been a recent favourite drag queen so I wanted to honour that with a spooky-ooky bride of Frankenstein twist!
Recent Sufjan painting :)
Beyond Belief with Jonathan Frakes except it's tumblr posts
“And Oppa Homeless Style? Never happened, it was invented by a writer.”
"Do you like the color of the sky?"
"Ever had a girlfriend? What about three girlfriends?"
"We all love a good chocolate fountain, but would this bird agree?"
been reading dykes to watch out for (no.522)
Kind of a shitty photo but I finally finished my life-size self portrait!!!! I’m glowing with radiation and enjoying my morning tea :)
The only reason I currently wish I didn’t have claustrophobia in theatres is the *slight, teeny tiny, itty bitty* chance that I might get to see Illinoise
Queen shit
The original pride flag and the sewing machine it was sewn on
@our-queer-experience
I'm counting on you Tumblr to upload the Illinois musical cam rip. It's what Sufjan would want
Im on my knees begging
Absolutely loosing it over this advertisement that came up on Pinterest yesterday, who is she and what does she know. Guess we’ll never find out
