How do mirrors work again?
Update on Final Project
Took a bunch of pictures and in the process of photoshoping them
Rainy night.
Final Project
For every project that we did I felt like I only scratched the surface of what I wanted to do. For my final project I would like to work more with photoshop and the multiplicities. The time we spent working on multiplicities in class really got me thinking of different things one can do with some pictures and a little photoshop. I feel like my work with the multiplicity is just scratching the surface of what I can and want to do.
My goal would be to challenge (sometimes subtly) our perceptions of reality. I want to experiment more with multiplicities and perspective. The upper parameters of my project would include use of processing to make some sort of user interaction with the multiplicities on top of creating several truly mind bending multiplicities. Lower parameters would be to have a few cool looking multiplicities. It will challenge me in that I will have to spend a lot of time taking photos and doing trial and error experimentation. I also want to test the limits of my photoshopping skills by trying new and difficult to do photoshops.
The Hood Internet
Even though I am not usually the type of person you would find at a rave I enjoyed myself listening to The Hood Internet. Though to be fair the turnout could hardly be called a rave. The music was very well put together with seamless transitions. Both the performers were very active while the music was playing which was an important part to enjoying the music. The sound system was really good, especially the bass. For me a good bass is meant to be felt more than heard. The only part that lacked was the crowd.
Just me doing some house work.
Unless you give consent.
I have always loved watching slow motion videos. Now I can watch it forever.
Artist Kevin Weir turns historical black and white photos into haunting GIFs.
I had to look up a few extra functions not covered in the tutorial.
Show your work
The point I most agree on is 8) Learn to take a punch. This one point really resonated with me especially the part about not internalizing it. I often times worry what others would think of my work which causes me not to try hard. It's something I have realized and work on constantly.
There weren't any points that I disagreed with but the one about telling a good story just didn't seem quite as important as the other ones. It just didn't stand out as much as the others did for me. Then again at the end of the book it does say "Some advice can be a vice. Feel free to take what you can use and leave the rest." Tell a good story is one piece of advice I will leave for now, maybe I will find a use for it at some others time.
