@matt-burke-blog
It is pretty awesome. We haven’t met, I believe; I’m Erin, you are?
It's one of my all time favourite movies. I'm Matthew, it's nice to meet you, Erin.
Casino Royale makes me want to become the next James Bond.
So, who's glad it's practically the weekend?
Busy week then? I don't even work, or study, but I like the idea of it being the weekend.
So, who's glad it's practically the weekend?
Ditto! Any plans for the weekend?
Peyton laughed. “Well if I’m being completely honest, I started drugs when I was fifteen. I thought it would be rebellious enough to make my parents notice me. Though they were oblivious to my uses.” She didn’t really like to tell people about that. Her Parents never even glanced up when she came in high or wasted. They didn’t care that she went out all night either. “Smoking was another rebellious phase but I’m more likely to smoke cigarettes than do drugs. What got you into them?” She asked. She turned her head back to the TV. “Aww the foxes are so cute!”
Matthew listened intently, a curious expression filtering across his face as she spoke. Nodding his head, he shrugged at her question. "I'm sorry. That's never a good thing to have happen to you." For a minute, he was silent, weighing up the answer to her question in his mind. "Friends, mostly. Just after high school, I went to college for half a year and it started there. It never got too bad. I sort of mentally drew the limit for myself. My brother was also pretty heavy on taking drugs, so that spurred it on a little. But when he passed away, I stopped for ages." There was a pause where his gaze fell down to his shoes. Matthew hated talking about his brother, Scott, but sometimes it was practically unavoidable. "So.. yeah." Looking up to the screen, a small smile appeared, very slightly. "The foxes make the whole film, if you ask me."
So, who's glad it's practically the weekend?

‘Cause you are special! Don’t forget that. I’ll constantly remind you, just in case.
Then I may be constantly smiling.
Mission accomplished. I feel like a genie granting good things for people.
Hey there, everyone.
Nice to meet you, too! Yeah of course, Matt’s good. I’m good thank you. How’s life for you?
Life? Well, I can’t complain. How about you? Got anything exciting going on?
A few things. Just meeting some great people, something about an audition for my band and this record company guy. So, uh, Alex.. tell me a little about yourself?
Inwardly, Matthew was having a mild panic attack. Clothes were being thrown everywhere, his apartment was a current mess and he kept his gaze constantly glued to the time, weighing up how long things would take to sort into place. Usually, a five or ten minute difference wouldn’t...
Matthew gazed down at his feet while waiting for the door to open, the mess of different, vibrant coloured flowers held in a bunch in his hand. He was nervous; he could feel the little bubble of excitement in the pit of his stomach. It was a good nervous feeling. When Olivia came into sight, a smile instantly appeared. "Hey, stranger." He greeted, taking a step forwards and returning the hug, his arms sliding around her waist for a moment, and then he relinquished his grip when she did, squeezing her gently in the process.
"I.. uh, I got you these." He hummed out, extending the hand holding the flowers towards her. His free hand dragged through his copper hair -- a nervous habit. "You look great, you know." A grin stretched across his face, refusing to fade as he took a few steps back, glancing over his shoulder. "I was thinking we could walk to the restaurant? It's not too far and the weathers nice.."

And then, my powers as the magnificent Peter Pan would be useless! You’re my life saver, see?
You’ve succeeded in making me feel special.
'Cause you are special! Don't forget that. I'll constantly remind you, just in case.
Hey there, everyone.
Hi, I’m Matthew.
Hey, nice to meet you, Matt. Is it okay if I call you Matt? How are you?
Nice to meet you, too! Yeah of course, Matt's good. I'm good thank you. How's life for you?

You wouldn’t be able to fly!

"Yea, I'm definitely taking a break from them." She said. She opened her beer and took a swig, the cool liquid satisfying her mouth. "Well that's good. I don't know what I'd do if it was sad!" She let out a small smile. She sat back again, taking another handful and shoving it in we mouth. "This is some good popcorn." She said, mouth full. She swallowed and laughed. "Sorry. Oh I'm sure the movie will be great. Technically any disney movie is good." She leaned over and rested her head on his shoulder. "Hope you don't mind, I have a slight headache." She said, looking up at him.
The movie was rolling, but Matthew was a little too curious to keep his mouth shut. "So, how did the drugs thing start?" As soon as he asked, he had to backtrack. "That sounded worse than I intended. I mean.. I don't often go to parties, and I only smoke because I can, which sounds weird, but.." Shrugging his shoulders, he glanced down as she rested her head on his shoulder, and with a smile, he wound his arm around her, making himself more comfortable. "So I don't have the excuse to say that I copied the habit off other people. I just chose to start. What's your story?" He asked, balancing the beer on his knee, occasionally taking a swig but mostly keeping his attention occupied by watching her, and then the screen, and the back to Peyton. "Oh yeah, I love Disney!"
Dinner / Matthew & Olivia.
Inwardly, Matthew was having a mild panic attack. Clothes were being thrown everywhere, his apartment was a current mess and he kept his gaze constantly glued to the time, weighing up how long things would take to sort into place. Usually, a five or ten minute difference wouldn't matter, but he was taking it a little more seriously than normal, because it was a.. date? He didn't even know. He hoped that she found it like that. The invitation had certainly swayed that way, but he had been on a very limited numbers of dates in his life, and wanted everything to run smoothly. The idea of a first date with Olivia was both incredibly exciting, and sort of terrifying. Being a loner himself, Matthew wasn't new to relationships, but he was new to all the formalities of a first date.
After choosing some casual, nice clothing, he packet his phone, wallet and some flowers he had chosen for her, (though.. he had no idea what he was doing, really. Was Olivia the type to want flowers? It was too late now, anyway), he headed out of his apartment and got a cab to her place. He'd already mentally decided that they could walk from hers -- he had chosen the restaurant that was only ten minutes away. Keeping things simple, but still wanting to make an impression. Paying the driver of the taxi, he stepped out and sidled up to her door, knocking twice and stepping back, an anxious expression on his face.

Well, isn’t that what Lost Boys do, love?
In actual fact, I fight evil, bearded pirates and save small children from having to grow up. But what would I be without my Tink there, helping out?
Hyde Park || Matt/Elyse
Elyse stood at the Grand Entrance to Hyde Park waiting for Matt. She looked at one of the four columns admiring the patterns carved into it, her wavy blond hair occasionally blowing in front of her eyes which got on her nerves. Being here made her remember all the times she spent in Central Park as a kid, she used to play hide and seek with her best friend Alyssa before she moved away and before all the madness that was life of a socialite-something Elyse never wanted. She shook the thoughts out of her head and adjusted her light blue top and looked around. That’s when she saw Matt walking toward her “hey” she smiled.
Matthew wasn't all that great with time management. It had been a rush to get to Hyde Park, considering he had slightly overslept past his alarm, and he just hoped that it hadn't affected the atmosphere already. Hype Park looked amazing; it was always a beautiful sight, one he had learned to appreciate since moving to London six months ago, and it was always good to be there because it brought him muse for his art. As always, a notepad and pencil were stuck in the back pocket of his jeans, ready to scribble down little sketches if he saw something that caught his eye, but right now he was focusing on finding Elyse. And it didn't take him all that long; she was easy enough to spot, and he quickly strolled over. "Hey, stranger." A charming grin crept across his lips, illuminating his face and reaching his gaze. "How's it going?" He asked, in attempt to make simple conversation, his eyes skirting around the large area.
