To my fellow Filipino Wattpad readers in here especially those who have been on that app/site during the early 2010s,

Does anybody remember “4 Bad Boys and Me”? Because I have beef with one of that scenes during the first book holy shit.

There was this scene I remember where, the Male Lead was teasing-borderline bullying the Female Lead and at one point, for a prank he decided to hide her inhaler.

The scene progresses and the FL realizes she lost her inhaler, and as expected, went into an asthmatic attack.

Luckily before things got worse, the ML found her gasping for air in the hallway and manage to return her inhaler on time, ‘saving’ her.

NATURALLY, FL is furious, saying how could he do that, she could’ve died, he’s the worst, an expected, natural reaction for almost dying because of a prank.

Fast forward until FL gets home and one of the ‘Bad Boys’ who I think whose name was Troy, visited FL’s house to apologize(?) or ‘seek forgiveness’ on ML’s behalf.

I say seek because what he said next got me thinking ‘the fuck’ —

— because Troy, then proceeds to narrate how FL should forgive ML, that he’s sorry, that he didn’t know, and basically telling her to cut him some slack (for the lack of a better term) and not make him feel bad about it because he lost his twin sister when they were kids because HE also hid her inhaler and didn’t manage to give it back until she died.

Like,

First of all,

If HE knows the consequences of HIDING an asthmatic’s inhaler, WHY THE FUCK would he do it again,

And secondly,

This is the shittiest way to make the readers sympathize and like the ML.

Like why are you portraying it like the FL should be the one who should feel bad for ALMOST dying.

That is all.
