I Remember
Thena's memory is gone, Gilgamesh helps her remember.
Based off the song Need 2 by Pinegrove
Thena stirred, her light blonde hair spewed across the pillow. Gilgamesh was still asleep in the chair next to the bed, his head resting against his arm. When he heard the soft rustle of sheets he immediately shot up, only to open his eyes to a certain weapon made of cosmic energy pointed at him. Gilgamesh immediately sat up straight, holding his hands up as to not alarm her.
"Woah, woah! Thena wait-" He was cut short by the weapon inching closer to him. Thena was breathing heavily, her pupils dilated as she held her defensive stance.
"Who are you? How do you know my name?" Thena demanded, still gripping her weapon, although she faltered when she caught a good glimpse of Gilgamesh. Why did her brain recognize him?
Gilgamesh said softly. "I'm not here to hurt you, Thena." He slowly approached her, causing her to back away.
"Stay back! I said stay back!" She snarled, the urge to use her weapon very high, but something was stopping her from doing so. Gilgamesh had successfully cornered her, slowly raising his hand towards her.
"Can you hold your hand up for me, Thena?" He spoke in that same soft tone, slowly convincing her to draw her weapon back. Something about his tone, his held out hand felt strangely familiar to Thena, making her falter once again. "Thena?" She tilted her head up to meet his, his hand still outstretched towards her. After a moment, she hesitantly lifted her hand to meet his, intertwining their fingers.
A warm feeling filled her stomach, though she could not explain why. Gilgamesh let out a soft chuckle, still keeping their hands connected.
"There you go, at least some of you is still here."
He guided her back to the bed, settling her onto it before sitting next to her. Thena was confused, to say the least. Who was this man, why did his touch make her feel this way? Seeing her confused expression, Gilgamesh found it appropriate to start explaining.
"You're probably wondering who I am, where you are, etcetera. Well, it's quite a long story but I'll try my best to explain it."
As he started to speak, Thena nodded her head along, half listening to him and half staring at their conjoined hands. His thumb was stroking her knuckles, sending tingles up her arm.
Gilgamesh let out a chuckle, "Hey, eyes up here, you listening?" Thena head suddenly jerked up, snapped out of whatever daze she was in before. Her face flushed a soft pink, earning another chuckle out of him.
"As I was saying... After your Mah'd Wy'ry had ended, Ajax thought it was best to wipe your memories to release the burden you were holding. After a group consensus, everybody agreed and Ajax had given you a clean slate."
Thena didn't know how to respond, mostly because she was still processing the information. A clean slate? Mah'd Wy'ry? Why did nobody fight against wiping her clean? As her brain reeled in the information, Gilgamesh could see she was getting overwhelmed.
"Eh- sorry, shouldn't have unloaded all that on you when you first woke up... Here, why don't I make you something to eat?" He stood to get off the bed, only for his hand to be tugged at by hers.
"No. Stay, please." Thena pleaded softly, pulling him back towards the bed. Gilgamesh, like putty in her hands, obviously complied. As he settled back against the bed, Thena squeezed his hand, moving closer to lay her head on his shoulder.
After a moment, Thena spoke up, "...I remember you."
His head perked up, looking at her incredulously. "Remember me? But Ajax had told us she wiped all of your memories-?"
Thena shook her head, her eyes staring into his. "Something about you triggers memories in me. I don't know how or why, but you help me remember things."
Gilgamesh paused before giving her a watery smile, pulling her into a loose hug.
"There's my Thena, I knew you were still in there." Thena paused before reciprocating the hug, engulfing herself in his warmth. They both didn't want this moment to end. Despite Thena's memories being gone and her being more dependent on Gilgamesh than ever, he was just happy to have her back. His Thena.
Remember.

Anniversary Dinner
The anniversary dinner that Mike and Evelyn never got to have.
After practicing her napkin-folding in the office all day, Evelyn arrived home to her and Mike's shared apartment only to see something that completely surprised her. Their small dog, Burt, dressed in a little tuxedo greeted her at the door. Evelyn let out a small chuckle, kicking off her heels and petting the dog when she heard a voice trail through the apartment.
"Evelyn? Die liebe? Is that you?"
Mike's head poked out of the kitchen, his warm brown eyes meeting her soft blue ones. Evelyn smiled, padding towards the kitchen to see her husband in a dirty apron, dinner for two on the table with a small red rose in a vase in the center along with a butterfly in a jar.
"What's all this? I thought I was making the dinner tonight..." Evelyn spoke softly, kissing Mike on the cheek before taking a seat at the table.
"Well, what kind of husband would I be if I didn't surprise my wife on our anniversary?" Mike gave her a crooked smile, wiping his hands on the apron before taking a seat across from her. "I made one of my favorite German dishes my mum used to make."
Evelyn cut into the fried cutlet, letting out a soft sigh as she chewed the food. She always loved Mike's cooking, mainly because she couldn't make something if her life depended on it. Burt pawed at her leg, silently pleading for a taste of the dish.
"Seems like Burt wants some of this delicious pork,"
Mike said teasingly, earning a small laugh out of Evelyn. He held out his hand for the dog, feeding him a piece of meat while Evelyn watched the two. As they finished the meal, Mike suddenly got out of his chair and left the room excitedly.
"Mike? What are you-?"
Evelyn called out before being cut off by Mike's footsteps rapidly approaching the dinner table again. He looked like a guilty child, holding his hands behind his back and grinning the biggest grin that Evelyn had ever seen him do. Before she could process the scene, Mike had already handed her a box. It was a small velvet box, tiny enough to fit into the palm of her hand.
"You really didn't have to get me anything, Mike..." Evelyn muttered while already prying it open with her fingers. Mike laughed at her antics, "Of course I had to get you something, it is our anniversary after all, Ev."
When the box popped open to reveal what was inside, Evelyn gasped. It was a golden necklace, laid on a plush velvet cloth. But it was not just any golden necklace, it was a butterfly necklace. As Evelyn inspected the piece of jewelry, she noticed an engraving on the back.
"An meinen geliebten Schmetterling, it means 'To my beloved butterfly.'" Mike said softly, unfastening the chain to put it around her neck. She gasped as she felt the cool metal against her collarbone, tracing her fingers over the butterfly pendant as she looked at herself in the mirror.
"So, do you like your gift?" Mike asked nervously. "If you don't we can return-" His words were replaced by the soft feeling of her lips. After a moment, he reciprocated, the two moving together in perfect rhythm. His hand softly curled in her blonde hair, gripping the strands. He tasted of the pork they just ate, but also a tangy twist that was distinctively his. When Evelyn pulled away, she stared into his eyes, the eyes that she had learned to love.
"I love the gift, sweetheart, and don't you dare think that I want to return this." Mike laughed before being kissed by her again, stumbling back against the couch before collapsing on top of it, Evelyn following suit. Oh, Mike was in for a long night.

Cooking with Angie
got the idea from @acidburnv2 (here's your story twin :D)
Angelina Jolie is a woman of many talents, including performing her own stunts, acting, and the way she carries herself is truly admirable. Even though she has six kids, she has openly admitted that she struggles with basic dishes, such as spaghetti. Therefore, the concept of her attempting to bake brownies for her children was quite humorous.
"Come on, mommy! Smile for the camera!" Shiloh exclaimed as she shakily held the tablet towards her mother, who was staring at the back of the brownie box, looking a bit dumbfounded. After hearing her daughter's voice, she chuckled and flashed the camera an exaggerated silly face.
"Why don't you get your siblings, Shi?" She asked as she struggled to open the box. "It'll be like a cooking show?" Shiloh's face brightened with delight, quickly running off to grab the five other kids in the house. Angelina smiled to herself, already imagining the smiling faces she would receive after they saw her making brownies.
She started the baking process, albeit not with much confidence. Five minutes in, and she already had flour smeared on her face, splashes of vanilla extract on her apron, and a small piece of eggshell in the batter she attempted to pick out when her six kids ran in and swarmed her.
"Mommy's baking!" Zahara exclaimed.
"That's definitely not ending well." Maddox teased.
"She's gonna burn the house down!" Pax playfully shrieks, causing Angelina to lose the grip on the eggshell in the batter that she was trying to pick out.
"Hell- Pax! SHHH!" Angelina mutters playfully, finally taking the eggshell out and putting the brownies in the oven. The tablet is long forgotten at this point, with Angelina chasing the kids around while the brownies bake? She was living in the moment, her stress lifted even for a tiny moment. Ding! The oven beeped, signalling that the brownies were finished, causing the kids to flood around the oven. After Angelina shooed them away, she took the brownies out of the oven, just for them to be burnt on the edges.
"Hey Mom, I think those are a little... burnt?" Maddox smirked, watching as his siblings started grabbing at the brownies right away.
"Mmm, it's still good Mom! You should make more!" The twins exclaimed, munching on their brownies loudly.
Angelina smiled, happy that her burnt brownies were able to put a smile on her kids faces. The kids ate their brownies, making a huge mess along with it, which earned a laugh from Angelina. She was proud of herself, not just for baking, for making her kids happy. This was what she lived for, to be a good mother to her children, just as her mother was to her.
Angelina Jolie was 30 years old when she played this
