I’d love to hear more about Jonah. Like relationships to characters, your interpretation of his (and by extension: the other Wesker children) early childhood
it's wild to be asked about this bc I just bat his history around in my head and maybe to a couple of friends like a cat with a toy mouse.
Jonah, as an adult, goes by the name Jonathan Maxwell and is discovered by Chris during the mess that becomes the aftermath of RE5. Though, as of my writing of this character, the ending of that game varies quite differently from what is actually canon. Wesker flees after the events of the final battle, gravely wounded, and Chris, Sheva, and Jill begin the task of hunting the man down.
John is discovered after they begin digging into the remnants of Spencer's fucked up eugenics project. Despite his presumed death, it seemed someone (Alex) knew well enough that Jonah had survived and was intent on seeking him out.
John's (Jonah's) relationship with Chris and co? He's amiable, though the same cannot be said for Chris (for obvious reasons). Though John is amiable towards most--he's a priest, after all. He's patient to the point of Frustration where others are concerned, and honest to the point of horror when it comes to his "siblings."
His relationship with his siblings when they were children was odd as they didn't behave like actual children. They were treated like objects made for a specific purpose, and thus behaved just the same. Jonah was always among the weakest of the children, and was treated as defective from the beginning, but it was only as his body began to fail him that spencer taught the children a lesson they would all harbor until they died--survival of the fittest.
The strong trampled upon the weak, and that was the way of the world.
Albert Wesker was tasked with the killing of Jonah Wesker, and in a way it was seen as a kind of fucked up mercy. Albert, for reasons that are not ever spoken aloud, does not follow through on his mission.
This prompts Jonah to take matters into his own hands. In front of Albert.
