Alan Watts, philosopher and writer, best known as an interpreter of Eastern philosophy for Western audiences, is probably one of my biggest idols.

hopefully this is true, or else I'm just a crazy insomniac.
escaping the Wisconsin weather and heading to siesta key, Florida for break. Nothing on my agenda except doing absolutely nothing. And perhaps a little reading.
Happy Pi day and Happy Birthday to Albert Einstein as well! What is Pi exactly, you ask? Pi is a mathematical constant, the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, approximately equal to 3.14159. And if you don't know who Einstein is.... well... you may live under a rock. 🙊
To each their own.
My friend and I tried our hand at a surrealist creativity promotion method called “exquisite corpse,” which I learned about in in course at the university of Wisconsin Milwaukee. The paper was folded along the red dotted line and each half was drawn on by a different person.
As you, the viewer, may have noticed, I am pretty interested in learning about outer space. I used to read Calvin and Hobbes comics as a child, and while reading a book entitled "A Brief History of Time," by Stephen Hawking, this comic popped into my head. I think it holds a lot of truth. If we took a ten minutes to drop everything and look up, the overwhelming idea of the universe may overpower our petty tribulations.
A bridge in the Netherlands that actually attempts to preserve ecosystems. I would love to see something like this in America, but alas.
isn't it strange this message is posted outside of a church? I mean, Bill Nye publicly advocates the theory of evolution, and well, the church advocates creationism. Trust me, I went to catholic schools got 11 years. Just an observation.
I'm not going to write a synopsis, because he couldn't have said it better. Rest in peace, Mr. Sagan.
Carl Sagan and Isaac Asimov. Two great minds. And now, we enter the cosmos.
Carl Sagan. need I say more?
The television show the Cosmos, originally created by Carl Sagan, will be recreated and brought back to life. I am a big fan of the original Cosmos series, and Sagan is one of my favorite astronomers. If you’re interested in the universe and all it’s glory, check the show out!
My dog was getting a little chilly.
This massive asteroid will pass by earth today around 4pm, narrowly missing the moon as well. This probably won't give you any peace of mind, but occurrences like this are fairly common. We, on earth, are on a floating sphere hurdling through space, after all. The possibilities are endless.
Completely random, but entertaining. What would JFK have looked like with tattoos all over? JFK is my favorite president and probably wouldn't have been elected if he had tattoos shown in the picture. it's a little ridiculous, I know.
This is an interesting article about the underestimation of the level of intelligence that elephants have. It's certainly not unreasonable to think that animals could be smarter than what we give them credit for.
