007 License to Kill Target Creature I hope I haven’t done the rules a total injustice! I THINK this is the basic rules right? They are so much more nuanced and complex than this, BUT hey, I think it might be enough to loosely follow.
I had a rad time at the Friday Night Magic draft at chezgeeks last friday. I’ll try do a lil mini recap of it! WOO!

D&D Stats Explained with Tomatoes
mindchildofmadness submits:
Strength is being able to crush a tomato.
Dexterity is being able to dodge a tomato.
Constitution is being able to eat a bad tomato.
Intelligence is knowing a tomato is a fruit.
Wisdom is knowing not to put a tomato in a fruit salad.
Charisma is being able to sell a tomato based fruit salad.

"…chambers, corridors, trapdoors, and other surprises."
Please note, this is NOT an ad as is often claimed. It’s a photo from a story about D&D in Scholastic’s Dynamite Magazine. Sarah DarkMagic tracked down scans of the article and wrote about it, even getting a note in response from the photographer: "If I remember correctly, the male in the picture is my Nephew David, Now 50 who was showing his girlfriend and her friend how the game is played. Whether they continued playing, I do not know, but my nephew played D and D with his step brother and other friends."
The fantastic fun of Dungeons and Dragons! Richard Hutchings, photography and quoted text Margaret Howard, article text Linda Aber, editor; Greg Wozny Design, art direction Dynamite Magazine No. 82 (March 1981)
Of further interest: I hunted down a copy of this issue of Dynamite after reading the Sarah DarkMagic post because I was convinced it was a D&D article I’ve remembered since my childhood. I was wrong about that, but at least I learned how to "punk-tuate" my jeans.
I did find the article I’ve remembered, and I wasn’t wrong to associate it with Dynamite. It turns out to be this article from Arcade, a flip cover mini-magazine included with some issues of Dynamite. Go check it out. It’s a charming report of a Saturday afternoon of FRP gaming in the back room of the Compleat Strategist circa 1982, with a beautiful illustration by Jill Bauman.
Finally found the source of that “ad” I reblogged a while ago!
