š¢ Help Rebuild Our Lives: A Family's Fight for Survival in GazaāšØ
šØUrgent šššµšøšØ
Hello everyone!!
My name is Lena Khames, a 27-year-old wife to my husband, Mohammed, and a proud mother of three beautiful children: our daughter Yasmmen and our two sons, Ali and Adam.
We come from Al-Zahraa in the Gaza Strip. I have a diploma in e-commerce, but our once stable and hopeful life has been shattered by the devastation of war, leaving us struggling to rebuild.
Our world collapsed whenĀ a missile targeted our home, reducing it to rubble in an instant š. The home we had built withĀ $40,000, a place where we had hoped to raise our children in peace, was completely destroyed. We have been left homeless, with nothing but memories of what we once had.
Our family has been forced to move repeatedlyĀ šdue to the conflict. After being displaced from our home by military force to a supposedly "safe" area, we quickly learned there is no safe place in Gaza. Each time the danger intensified, we had to flee again, struggling to protect our children from the violence that surrounded us. Today, we live in a tent under unbearable conditions, without even the most basic necessities.
In one of the many attacks,Ā my husband, already suffering from a previous injury,Ā was seriously wounded in his leg š. He now requires continuous medical care and a special device to help him walk again. To make matters worse,Ā my husband lost his brother Mahmoud in the conflictāhis brother died in his arms while they were inspecting the ruins of our home. The emotional and physical pain has weighed heavily on him, and on all of us.
Adding to our burden,Ā my husband also lost his carāthe sole source of income for our familyā š which had cost himĀ $20,000. This loss has left us without any means of financial support, making it nearly impossible to care for our children and ensure their safety.
How Your Donation Will Help Us š:
We are seeking to raise ā¬100,000 to help secure a temporary place for our family, as we are currently living in a tent and our children desperately need a safe and stable environment. The funds will also allow us to begin rebuilding our home, which was destroyed, and restore the stability and hope we once had. Additionally, we need urgent financial support for my husbandās medical treatment and travel to find safety and proper care, as we try to escape the ongoing nightmare of war and genocide that we are forced to endure.

Helloš
Please take a moment to read my story.
I am Heba Al-Dahdouh. I currently live in the completely destroyed city of Gaza. Since the war on Gaza began on 7/1/2024, my family- my father Nasif, my mother Asmaa, and my siblings Khaled, Ahmad, Muhammad, and Malak-have been living in constant fear, crying, and suffering due to shrapnel, shells, and bullets.
We have no food, no electricity, no cooking gas, no schools, no homes, no cleaning supplies, and no clothes. My school has been bombed, and my brother Khaled's university is now rubble, depriving us all of education. The war has forced us to live in displacement centers, which are just tents unsuitable for living, especially in winter.
Every day we live death, terror, and panic a thousand times because of the ongoing bombardment of my city. The war has killed more than 50 of my relatives and neighbors. At the start of the war, we sought refuge at my aunt's house, . Imagine: we have survived imminent death more than 20 times and have been displaced among shelters more than 13 times. My siblings and I have suffered from many illnesses due to malnutrition, and we need medication continuously.
Dear friends around the world, Greetings to you from Gaza, the land of pe⦠Heba Nasef needs your support for Helping Heba Family : Escaping
If we stay in Gaza, we might lose our lives. Recently, we have been seriously considering leaving Gaza for a safe place. However, travel costs are extremely high. We need over $50,000 to leave Gaza. Due to exorbitant prices, rampant unemployment, lack of security, the ongoing siege, and relentless bombardment, we have lost all our money. How can we live in such insecurity, with constant shelling and shrapnel flying above us? Dear compassionate friends around the world,
With your generous donations, even if small, you can save 7 people from imminent death, allowing us to start a life outside Gaza filled with love, peace, and hope.
With my warmest regards from the city of Gaza,
Heba Al-Dahdouh.

I am Falestine, Jad Al-Haq, I am 37 years old, married, and I have a eight-month-old child named Youssef. I gave birth to him during the war during very harsh conditions that no human being can bear. I moved from the hospital immediately after giving birth to the tent in which we were staying after we were displaced to it after the Israeli bulldozers completely bulldozed my house.Ā and my suffering did not start from here. Rather, it began since the beginning of the war, and I am still suffering. I cannot provide enough milk for my baby or diapers. Even medicines and vitamins are not available.
I ask you for your urgent help in disseminating the link to my family and communicating it to people interested and able to help us.Ā I didn't want to do it, but the tragic situation we are living in is what pushed me to do it.Ā I feel sad and helpless, after we had everything, we are now homeless on the streets, living in a tent next to a dilapidated public toilet and there is sewage, dirt and waste everywhere, we sleep on it!Ā We suffer from terrible heat, insects, scorpions, the danger of death, bombs and missiles, in addition to hunger of course, the danger of pollution and terrible diseases, especially the digestive, respiratory and reproductive systems!
.Ā My father and mother could not bear it any longer. My father had a stroke after losing his home and his place of work, and my mother suffers from chronic diseases and needs treatment.
Ā Do you have the right to imagine that when you spend your life building for yourself and your children to live a decent life, all of this disappears in the blink of an eye, and now when you reach the age where you should rest, you are forced to start again!!?Ā But the most important thing now is to try to survive and protect your children from all the factors of death that surround us!Ā I ask everyone who has humanity or conscience to feel our situation and put themselves in our place.Ā How can someone who has lived with dignity all his life accept this?Ā We are slowly dying every day.
Your donation, no matter how small, can have a big impact.Ā It can provide a meal for my little one, a clean bottle of water, or a moment of safety under these difficult circumstances.Ā Every donation brings with it a ray of hope, alleviating our suffering and giving us the strength to face a new day.
I ask you to donate and support the steadfastness of the Gazan people, and share this campaign with your friends and families.Ā Together, we can make a difference and help my family get through this ordeal.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and support.
Warm greetings,
Falestine

ALL OF THESE REQUIRE GETTING OUT OF BED
For real, actionable advice feel free to skip ahead to the second big text. tl;dr look around the red text.
Why do people write this?
Typically advice for depressed people is written by people who aren't depressed. That does make sense since depression makes it so much more difficult to do things. Things that are done are most often done by people that find it easy to do things.
For the author, a making a cup of tea or sitting outside for a few minutes are examples of something that is a "free action". You might here someone express the belief that "willpower is infinite".
I used to think I could walk forever up until I did so for 9 hours. What is going on when someone writes this is that they never had to come up to these limits before. That leads to advice that isn't helpful to the people that need it most.
This is also a problem with physical exercise. Most people think of running or lifting weights as typical starting points. But what does someone who can't stand for long do?
The same principles apply, you stretch the muscles, they break, they repair. It's just that when you are starting from scratch, lifting the leg and standing or what have you is enough to do that.
So I am depressed and can't get out of bed. What do I do?
Just like with exercise we start small.
Think about breathing manually. This is impossible to fail. You don't have to do anything besides think of breathing. And yet, as you do it it is proof you have some control still.
Wiggle your fingers. Open and close your hand.
Move your arm. Lift it up. It can be just at the elbow to start
Put your hand in a position to push you to the side. It's okay if this just gets you to your side. That is progress
Get the legs involved. You can start with the toes, then ankles, then up to your knees
With more limbs involved we can shift over to the edge of the bed
Get some legs off
Sitting position
Now stand up
Reading this you may find that it doesn't take that many steps. That's great. You may find that it takes more and that you have to recover from each one. That's fine too. The important part is that you gained some progress each time. Even if you fall back, it gets easier and easier to do the same thing, just like building muscle.
At the end of the day, no one is going to know how many steps you used to get out of bed. The trick is that when something seems insurmountable you break it down into small enough steps that the next one is doable to you personally.
Once you get it done, then that's as good as anyone else.

A Family's Unending Journey for Safety in Gaza
My name is Mohammed, and Iām 35 years old, working as a nurse in a hospital here in Gaza. My wife, Diana, is 27, and together weāre trying to give our two young daughters a safe, stable life in a place that knows so little of either.
Our journey began in December 2023. That was when the military ordered us to evacuate our home in Al-Nuseirat. With only minutes to decide, we grabbed what we could carry, took our little girls, and moved to Khan Yunis, hoping it would be safer.
But our time there was short. We were ordered to leave Khan Yunis, so we packed up again and moved to Rafah. For a moment, we let ourselves hope that this would be the end of our running, that maybe we could start to rebuild. But Rafah wasn't safe either. Another order came, and we had no choice but to return to Al-Nuseirat, despite the dangers.
Today, we're renting a small apartment in Al-Nuseirat. It barely fits us, but it's the only place we can go. We live every day in fear, wondering if the next evacuation order will come. Each move takes away a bit more of the stability we try so hard to create for our girls. Every time weāre forced to flee, it feels like we leave behind pieces of the life weāve worked to build.
Thereās little left to hold on to but each other, and the hope that maybe one day weāll finally find safety.
