I Turned a bunch of OCs into Badniks

was a lot of fun, oversharing under break

So the AU I've been sucked into, MetalSwap, is set in a world where the organic and robotic characters of the sonic universe have "swapped." generally we follow an organic version of Metal Sonic (known simply as metal) as he roams the land, fights badniks, and seeks the chaos emeralds to help him take down the Ai copy of him, Sonic.

and like a freaking lot of lore and characters are based on the idea of fighting and scrapping badniks, but I have yet to have any designs for them in this world (save the main characters, who don't count).

solution? ask people on twitter and bsky to sacrifice themselves! I think I got to around 30 tonight, out of probably 200+ submissions, but I'm super happy with the result. I can't wait to kill em.

(I intended that she has a fully green torso, yes, just like Amy has a fully plain pink one. you can see it in the comic in a couple moments like her getting injured or when she's naked in the tank in imposter syndrome. that said, you're drawing fanart, so that doesn't matter)

Ah cool, appreciate the official info! I've seen those panels yeah, but obviously I'm not emulating official style. I would be curious to ask if there are guidelines/reasoning for which characters have what kinds of bellies, or if it's simply character by character, design by design?
