It's Maui time!

Now let the possible embarrassment begin.

*Maui leaves a little bag of gems with a note outside his cave, knocks twice, then runs away*!

Tamatoa poked his head out picks up the bag and studies the note.

The letter wrote as follows: “Hey...Tama! Long time no see, eh? Yeah. Well..I’m not really- I’m great  at talking, but I don’t write stuff a lot. So I’ll just do my best. 

I mean, because usually I’d say something like “Hey, I’m awesome at writing. Just like how I’m awesome at everything else!” But you’re not so easily impressed. So I’ll just keep going with this because I’m out of paper and I’m almost out of ink.

Anyway. I’ve been finding little gems all around here. Lalotai’s a hotbed for this stuff. But I’m sure you already know that. Figured you’d appreciate them more than I would!  

I might come by again to say hey. It’s been a little while. Hope that’s all right!”

And it was signed with his signature Maui..well..signature, much like the one on Moana’s ore. It had been scribbled out with just “Maui” written next to it. The note was full of little mistakes and corrections like that.

Maui waited a small distance away, not moving a muscle... far enough that he couldn’t be detected, but close enough to hear a (bad) reaction.

A 15 foot tall purple dragon is trekking through Lalotai close to where Maui is staying. She hadn't noticed the demigod just yet.

Maui was snoring loudly. He’d spent a lot of the day re-building his shelter (it kept getting ransacked by monsters!). But no matter..he kept finding new cool places to explore, new things to find. 

But he heard something in his sleep and woke instantly.

At that threat Skyfire stopped and stuck her tongue out at the demigod.

“Huh… hearing you say that is kind of strange. I thought humans could do no wrong in your eyes.” Dominic stated.

He stuck his tongue right back out at her and winked. “Hehe!” 

He turned to Dominic and suddenly looked pensive. “Yeah. I mean... I thought so too. Thought they were worth choosing over someone who was more important to me than anything.”

A small girl runs past him but falls and hurts her leg. A big man came into view sending the girl into a panic. She managed to drag herself under a dead log. (Littleprincessofshadow)

Whoa-! What was going on here? Every time Maui took a trip to the surface, something crazy seemed to happen. And now a bunch of stuff was happening, all at the same time.

He stepped in front of the big dude in front of him and leaned on his hook, nonchalantly.

“Hey. Headed somewhere?”

littleprincessofshadow “I know how to get there but after that… I’m kinda lost… Skyrim is a small country… I really didn’t want to go back but I want to meet my dad…. ”

“Dang..it’s a country. We in sailing distance?”

A small man wearing a hat, bandana, and other western clothes.l, walked by Maui. He seemed to be looking for someone and was worried. He kept glancing behind him, as if he were being hunted. The-nomad-and-the-wolf

Maui glanced at this oddly dressed …something-or-other. He decides to follow him.

the-nomad-and-the-wolf She smiled and said, “I’m fine… Some jerk tried to hurt Nomad so I attacked him… He threw me into a wall… ” The girl sat down as Nomad checked her leg. He carefully removed the bandages before replacing them with fresh ones.

“An attacker...want me to take care of them?”

A tan and freckled figure sits on the beach. Running her fingers through thick curly hair. She watched the waves and relaxes.. that is until a group of villagers start bothering her. ( semi-demi-crab)

Maui was above ground, gathering supplies, when he saw the commotion. “Hey, what’s going on?”

corrupted-crab “ yeah it is- would you like to come meet the rest of the family? We have a little place we’re staying at nearby “

Rosie seems to like that idea as she grins and squirms” yeah! Come meet TimTam and mama!”

Maui nodded. “Sure, I’d love to meet ‘em! You gotta introduce me to who’s who and all that.” He looked around. “Where are you staying?”

He takes it and wraps it around himself. “Real cozy!”

Maui was above ground, gathering supplies, when he saw the commotion. “Hey, what’s going on?”

semi-demi-crab “ my name is Rosie!” The toddler speaks up, grinning and showing off a small tooth gap “ my baby brother Tam is with my other mama!”

Lele smiles softly at her daughter. “ she’s only shy when she wants to be “ she chuckles

“Heheh! Sweet kid.” He smiled. 

He looked around the beach. “It’s  getting a little dark..”

He rubbed at his arm. “Uh. You gonna be all right here by yourself?” Apparently forgetting she’d lived here forever.

“Yes I always sleep by myself.” she said getting a fur she uses as a blanket

“Well..” He shivered. It got cold here at night and company was so rare.. “Maybe I’ll find a little cave close by.”

“You can stay here, I have a lot of space on the nest.”

“Uh..you sure?” he asked, awkwardly.

“I’m sure” she gets inside the nest

He climbs inside after her. “Hm. Cozy!” He was still shivering a little, but it was nice- warmer than his place. He’d have to make some updates.

Maui’s expression darkened. He was not happy to hear this.

“It’s probably their fault that every Tamatoa I meet wants to eat me.” He sighed, knowing that was only partially true. 

“Well, y’know what? I’ll protect you from those ‘imposter’ Mauis.” He’d also like a chance to ‘have a word’ with them too.

“ oh- thank you-“ a little girl runs to Lele’s side, holding her hand before looking up at Maui

The little girl waves shyly and Lele pats her head “oh- this is my daughter Rosie “ she gently picks the child up

(Taika) *Maui wanders around Lalotai..he seems to be looking for something. He looks at his mini-tattoo-self* "What do you think, buddy...time to call it a day?" *he gives mini-me a curious look as he points ahead*...

Crossing his path up ahead was a massive spidery creature, who was humming cheerfully to himself as he walked. He’d occasionally glance back at his shell and say something, probably talking to someone or something in the colorful coral reef on his back. At first, he didn’t see Maui. But, then apparently whoever was on his shell alerted him, and he glanced over to see Maui. “Oh! Hello.” the crab said, waving a claw.

Taika rolled his eyes, smiling and spitting out some of the excess seawater with a chuckle.

“Very funny.” he laughed. “Alright, demigod, I’m no navigator, where are we headed?”

“Ah. Good...question!” Maui said, sounding more confident than he really was. “How about West? That sounds right.” He nodded, totally sure of this.

“Never!” Skyfire giggled continuing to tickle.This was way to much fun.

“Only in a small part of the world but everywhere else thinks we are assosiated with tevil which is complete crap and incredibly irritating.” Dominic commented not even bothering stopping Skyfire. It was too funny. “On top of that our scales and skulls and stuff sell for a ton of money on the black market.”

He kept snickering. “C’mon- soon I’m gonna have to tickle you back, kid!” 

But hearing this, he frowned. “Humans can do some real ugly stuff.” He looked down, pensive.

the-land-under-the-sea =Tamatoa= [Taotaomo’na] “And if you want, I could show you me detaching my head from my neck.” {-he said with a smirk, and removing his necklaces to show a line of stitches going around his neck just under his head.}

He gasped. “Oh, no way! How are you alive right now?”
