“Roba Becciah” – borrowed from the Italian Robba Vecchia, which means “old clothes” – for Egyptians, it means a traditional form of recycling involving a vendor wheeling around the city with a cart collecting unwanted clothes, appliances, or furniture, fixing them before re-selling.
