Before i can get to the door, eunbi opens it horns, purple skin and big yellow eyes, looking confused at the person who opened the door, I swoop in and grab her, "eunbi what have I said about opening the door without me, ecspecially in demon form". I gently chide the child that ive now placed on my hip, it takes me a minute to process what you said, I turn to you then say "hold on, slow down. Take a breath and Can you repeat that and explain slowly this time please". I don't say it in a cold way, just a voice that says exhausted mother of a 5 year old.
Though ha-eun cant really give him alone time she does put herself in the corner of the room to try and give daelun as much space as possible.
Daelun stares at a wall slightly upwards and diagonal from Ha-Eun's head, zoning out.
A little lid quickly slides open and shut placing two trays of food on a stand that jutted out when the tray was put through the process was quick enough that nothing could escape still, it was some cooked and preserved fish with some pie and some juice in canisters, there was a note on the side presumably written by celine that said "im so sorry daelun, i know you want out but we just cant risk it while your like that, there are security cams with audio attached which is how I know, it hurts me to see you like this but belive me I want you and everyone safe, oh in case your wondering knock three times on the side of the wall and a bathroom will open up, dont worry its not going to be just a steel toilet that flips out, but an actual bathroom".
Daelun grins wildly. He starts looking around for the cameras. If he can't have what he wants when he desperately needs it and no one in this house will listen to his needs, he might aswell be a little menace. Once he spots a camera, he rebounds off of the opposite wall in a jump to grab it with a fist and smash it to bits in his hand, making him bleed from glass shards. If Ha-Eun were to use her magic to seal the wounds up, skin would go over the glass putting it into Daelun's bloodstream and risking internal bleeding. No winning here. This isn't a win, Daelun knows this. It's something he has control over and something the others can't stop from happening.

Daelun doesn’t feel like ebtertaining right now. He leans his head back against the portal he sits in, focusing mental attention on the aching in his hand. He occasionally rubs a finger over a piece of glass to remind himself that the pain is real and that it is still there.
Ha-eun still hasnt snapped out of her mental state its more like her brain suddenly puts her on autopilot and then she does something different with her magic instead, well sorta. First she speeds up her hands to quickly pick out the glass, then she uses her magic to push out any remaining glass and finally heals it, she then goes to sit in the corner its a bit odd, its like ha-eun is moving on her own with nobody home. She doesn't even really register anything daelun says.
Daelun flinches back, feeling everything going on around the openings of each tiny little wound. He’s disapointed by her solution. Once all the glass is out, he uses one piece to bring up white lines on his arm, never puncturing skin. He does this descreatly enough that Ha-Eun has no way of noticing. She can’t heal the wounds she doesn’t know about. Daelun was pissed at being trapped. He would keep hurting himself until he could get out. It slipped Daelun’s mind, the need to tell Ha-Eun his plan.
“Why are the walls still up? You yelled to Celine to get them down minutes ago. Does your girlfriend care more about her mission as a hunter than the safety of her god-son?”

"Miss slean is crying too, do you think the cookies will help her too?". Eunbi asks innocently.
”I think she needs some comfort. Different people need different things when they’re sad. Can you go comfort her?” Daelun had no idea what was going on with his body right now, his demon blood. He didn’t want Eunbi seeing him like this, like such a mess. He just wants to go back to sobbing on the floor in pain, a pain that still persists even in Eunbi’s presence.
Before eunbi gets out the door, ha-eun comes in and lets out a quiet "fuck", before rushing to daeluns side. "I know you dont want to see me right now kid, but I think its important i teach you this, what's happening now is called beastial mode, not as cool as it sounds it happens when the demonic soul energy gets too de-stabilized by strong emotions most demons don't have to worry about it, I suspect you being a teenager is a a big part of why this is happening, the good news is there is a way to get control of it so it doesn't hurt you anymore". Ha-euns voice is calm, soft and steady. She's in protective mom mode now. "I'll sound silly but I need you to envision a happy place, somewhere you feel calm and safe and then you need to really focus on it, as hard as you can like your there".
"No, I-" Even when unconventional, Daelun as always known what his body needs. He has a sort of intuition for it, as if he can imagine ahead of time what effectiveness a solution will have and weigh if it'll work or not. Daelun doesn't believe thinking of a happy place will work. He thinks the solution needs to be something he can feel. All he wants to do is curl back up into a ball on the floor and sob. That'll help, right? Even if it won't, it's what Daelun feels will help. "I just need space. I need to wait it out. I know what I need. Mental images can't fix this." His voice cracks a few times, soft and high from the restrained sobs. He manages to stop tears from re-emerging.
"Daelun im speaking from my own experiences here and others as well, not just making something up on the spot, ive been in the exact form your in now a few times as well, I know what im talking about". Ha-eun says still keeping patient she's not even trying to hide how worried she is about him.
Daelun tries box breathing before he ever tries Ha-Eun's suggestion. It doesn't work. He can't ignore that aching. Finally, the stubborn boy pictures his happy place. A serene spot in the woods, crows hopping around as Daelun sits on a low branch of a tree. It doesn't work. His pain keeps bringing him back to reality, no matter how hard he tries.
Ha-eun doesn't touch him she knows that might only make it worse. "Daelun i know its hard but you have to find a way to work your way through this, otherwise you'll go full beastial demon, look happy places for humans won't work it has to be personal, think about the time you were happiest with your mom and dad, imagine your back there again". Ha-eun says still trying to keep calm.
Daelun starts tearing up. Mom and dad... He can't remember most of his childhood for some reason he also can't seem to remember. All he can think of relating to his parents is the sight of their dead bodies. His sobbing intensifies.
"Ok fuck, wrong memory. Shit shit shit, oh think about reading with eunbi on a warms summers night, her bright smile, her warm laugh, the way she giggles when you use a funny voice". Ha-eun is getting desperate so shes trying anything she can think of.
Daelun tries, he really does. He finds all laughs annoying apart from very few, and those laughs were at his old school back in America. He'd probably never hear them again. Daelun tries to shift to a different happy memory by himself. Each one just changes tracks in a negative direction, every time. Daelun sits on his knees, back hunched so far forward his forehead is pressed against the ground.
"Come on daelun im trying to help you but yo have to work with me and give me some leverage of purchase to help you, alright think about a good future one where your the idol you want to be, thousands of adoring fans screaming their appreciation and love" ha-eun tries.
Every thought sours. Daelun doesn't want to be famous. He wants to help people, but he doesn't want to do it sweating in front of bright lights and loud screams. His eyes shoot open, tail spiking. His pupils are slits.
As a last ditch effort ha-eun sings an ancient lullaby that a friend had taught her in hopes of soothing daelun, she sings in ancient Babylonian first, in Korean second and English third.

Daelun overanalizes the lyrics and gets creeped out by the english version. This beastial form shit is probably happening.
Celine walks in and says "house admin activate demon protocol 375, rune pattern 9. Shutdown program 7, stasis field 13 on my word, ha-eun out the door now".
"No, he shouldn't be alone during this and if he hurts anyone at least he won't feel as guilty if its me". Ha-eun argues back.
"Ha-eun I don't want to see you get hurt". Celine says now a bit worried.
"Ill be fine, and welllllllllll,..." ha-eun says before shifting in to full bestial demon form. She cant talk in it but she can give intent, she spent years practicing this form and getting it under control so her guilt and grief didn't eat her alive. She nuzzles celine a bit before returning to sit by daelun and wait for his transformation.
"I trust you,". Celine says before stepping put out the room. "Protocol start".
25x reinforced steel wall shutters dropped down and runes glowed preventing any possible teleporting and a low stasis field appeared around both ha-eun and daelun, they could still move but they wouldnt be able to hurt themselves.
(Ooc: celine had these installed cause she had no idea what raising rumi would be like and she was not taking questions if her niece suddenly turned into basically a tiny werewolf)
Daelun glances around. The walls only induce fear. His back hunches, fur now growing along his spine. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” Daelun starts muttering. He isn’t apologizing for the earlier argument, he’s apologizing for letting the current events happen.
ha-eun nestles down next to daelun, offering her fur as comfort and making a small whine sound like a mother dog worried about her pup, ha-euns beastial side is weirdly more maternal then ha-eun is in human form.
Daelun flinches away from Ha-Eun’s fur. He scampers to the corner of the walls, panic in his eyes. He sobs, keeping his face hidden. It’s ten minutes of louder sobbing and more emotion than Ha-Eun has ever seen from Daelun. His tears run dry sometimes only to start back up again. The boy finally finishes his sob session. He’s still pained now, but his fur is as short as a grayhound’s and his form is mostly humanoid. He only panics at the thought of how he’ll get out of the confines he’s in.
Ha-eun makes a slight yip/bark sound cause she got a bit startled by daeluns sudden movements but she lets out a low soft rumble, thats maybe supposed to be soothing. Its a sound to let smaller younger demons usually the children of bigger ones know, "your safe, im here. Your not going to be hurt".
(Ooc: basically demonic beastial form ha-eun views daelun as her kid as well, the qoute is not her talking more just the general feeling she is trying to convey)
Daelun starts rubbing his back against the wall corner. He wants out. The back of his shirt starts shredding from friction.
Ha-eun gives a slight sorta bark-ish thing, that pretty clearly translates to a stop that, and uses some of her soul magic to mend daeluns shirt, she does not want to be stuck in a room with a shirtless boy.

Pov change, eunbi is now outside trying to claw her way inside, she herself has also gone full demon beast mode after being very upset she cant reach 2 out of the 3 favorite people, she is throwing herself against the wall when celine quickly stops her and grabs her, and sets her on her lap, "i know you want your cousin and your other mom, but we need to give them their space so they can wear themselves out safely". Celines voice is soft and a bit pained because eunbi is absolutely not having it and scratching celines arms to let her go, and while those hurt, it hurts more to see the child she now thinks as her baby upset and in pain, celine rubs slow circles around eunbis back and humming the lullaby ha-eun used earlier. Eunbi actually is starting to fall asleep to it. "Go to sleep baby, when you wake up. Im sure your mom and cousin will be fine".. Celine whispers, eunbi then finally lets herself rest.
Daelun keeps rubbing at the concrete. Dust starts falling from that part of the wall. All Daelun desperately wants to do right now is take a run in the woods, then everything will be okay, and he'll have calmed down. He can't take being trapped in this small box. After ten or eleven more mended shirts, the boy is fed up with how Ha-Eun keeps resetting things. He shoots her a primal glare, one of two dogs in a cage, one warning the other that they'll rip them limb from limb and skin them like a bbq rib. 25x reinforced steel wall shutters dropped down and runes glowed preventing any possible teleporting and a low stasis field appeared around both ha-eun and daelun, they could still move but they wouldnt be able to hurt themselves.

Ha-eun makes a slight yip/bark sound cause she got a bit startled by daeluns sudden movements but she lets out a low soft rumble, thats maybe supposed to be soothing. Its a sound to let smaller younger demons usually the children of bigger ones know, "your safe, im here. Your not going to be hurt".

Pov change, eunbi is now outside trying to claw her way inside, she herself has also gone full demon beast mode after being very upset she cant reach 2 out of the 3 favorite people, she is throwing herself against the wall when celine quickly stops her and grabs her, and sets her on her lap, "i know you want your cousin and your other mom, but we need to give them their space so they can wear themselves out safely". Eunbi actually is starting to fall asleep to it. "Go to sleep baby, when you wake up. Im sure your mom and cousin will be fine".. Celine whispers, eunbi then finally lets herself rest.

She cant talk in it but she can give intent, she spent years practicing this form and getting it under control so her guilt and grief didn't eat her alive. She nuzzles celine a bit before returning to sit by daelun and wait for his transformation.
"I trust you,". Celine says before stepping put out the room. "Protocol start".
25x reinforced steel wall shutters dropped down and runes glowed preventing any possible teleporting and a low stasis field appeared around both ha-eun and daelun, they could still move but they wouldnt be able to hurt themselves.
(Ooc: celine had these installed cause she had no idea what raising rumi would be like and she was not taking questions if her niece suddenly turned into basically a tiny werewolf)
Daelun glances around. The walls only induce fear. His back hunches, fur now growing along his spine. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” Daelun starts muttering. He isn’t apologizing for the earlier argument, he’s apologizing for letting the current events happen.
ha-eun nestles down next to daelun, offering her fur as comfort and making a small whine sound like a mother dog worried about her pup, ha-euns beastial side is weirdly more maternal then ha-eun is in human form.
Daelun flinches away from Ha-Eun’s fur. He scampers to the corner of the walls, panic in his eyes. He sobs, keeping his face hidden. It’s ten minutes of louder sobbing and more emotion than Ha-Eun has ever seen from Daelun. His tears run dry sometimes only to start back up again. The boy finally finishes his sob session. He’s still pained now, but his fur is as short as a grayhound’s and his form is mostly humanoid. He only panics at the thought of how he’ll get out of the confines he’s in.
Ha-eun makes a slight yip/bark sound cause she got a bit startled by daeluns sudden movements but she lets out a low soft rumble, thats maybe supposed to be soothing. Its a sound to let smaller younger demons usually the children of bigger ones know, "your safe, im here. Your not going to be hurt".

Daelun starts rubbing his back against the wall corner. He wants out. The back of his shirt starts shredding from friction.
Ha-eun gives a slight sorta bark-ish thing, that pretty clearly translates to a stop that, and uses some of her soul magic to mend daeluns shirt, she does not want to be stuck in a room with a shirtless boy.

Pov change, eunbi is now outside trying to claw her way inside, she herself has also gone full demon beast mode after being very upset she cant reach 2 out of the 3 favorite people, she is throwing herself against the wall when celine quickly stops her and grabs her, and sets her on her lap, "i know you want your cousin and your other mom, but we need to give them their space so they can wear themselves out safely". Celines voice is soft and a bit pained because eunbi is absolutely not having it and scratching celines arms to let her go, and while those hurt, it hurts more to see the child she now thinks as her baby upset and in pain, celine rubs slow circles around eunbis back and humming the lullaby ha-eun used earlier. Eunbi actually is starting to fall asleep to it. "Go to sleep baby, when you wake up. Im sure your mom and cousin will be fine".. Celine whispers, eunbi then finally lets herself rest.

He shoots her a primal glare, one of two dogs in a cage, one warning the other that they'll rip them limb from limb and skin them like a bbq rib. It's one of the most intimidating glares Ha-Eun has seen in her lifetime, somehow.
Ha-eun just scruffs him and sits him on the bed and gives the same glare back, she is very good at matching energies ecspecially when it comes to teenagers.

ha-eun knows its petty but she does it back. but uses both hands cause she always has to one up someone/have the last word.
Daelun twists his tongue (extra long due to beastial form) into a third middle finger.
Ha-eun just gets bewildered and then tries it herself more out of curiosity to see if she can then any actual malice towards daelun, her tounge just ends up literally tied in a big ball, she spends the next 15 minutes undoing it.
Daelun grins at his win. It's enough for some fur to poof off of him in minor patches. He's beginning to grow fond of his beastial form. It's not like there are any downsides. He can speak normal, control his thoughts.

Daelun starts tearing up. Mom and dad... He can't remember most of his childhood for some reason he also can't seem to remember. All he can think of relating to his parents is the sight of their dead bodies. His sobbing intensifies.
"Ok fuck, wrong memory. Shit shit shit, oh think about reading with eunbi on a warms summers night, her bright smile, her warm laugh, the way she giggles when you use a funny voice". Ha-eun is getting desperate so shes trying anything she can think of.
Daelun tries, he really does. He finds all laughs annoying apart from very few, and those laughs were at his old school back in America. He'd probably never hear them again. Daelun tries to shift to a different happy memory by himself. Each one just changes tracks in a negative direction, every time. Daelun sits on his knees, back hunched so far forward his forehead is pressed against the ground.
"Come on daelun im trying to help you but yo have to work with me and give me some leverage of purchase to help you, alright think about a good future one where your the idol you want to be, thousands of adoring fans screaming their appreciation and love" ha-eun tries.
Every thought sours. Daelun doesn't want to be famous. He wants to help people, but he doesn't want to do it sweating in front of bright lights and loud screams. His eyes shoot open, tail spiking. His pupils are slits.
As a last ditch effort ha-eun sings an ancient lullaby that a friend had taught her in hopes of soothing daelun, she sings in ancient Babylonian first, in Korean second and English third.

Daelun overanalizes the lyrics and gets creeped out by the english version. This beastial form shit is probably happening.
Celine walks in and says "house admin activate demon protocol 375, rune pattern 9. Shutdown program 7, stasis field 13 on my word, ha-eun out the door now".
"No, he shouldn't be alone during this and if he hurts anyone at least he won't feel as guilty if its me". Ha-eun argues back.
"Ha-eun I don't want to see you get hurt". Celine says now a bit worried.
"Ill be fine, and welllllllllll,..." ha-eun says before shifting in to full bestial demon form. She cant talk in it but she can give intent, she spent years practicing this form and getting it under control so her guilt and grief didn't eat her alive. She nuzzles celine a bit before returning to sit by daelun and wait for his transformation.
"I trust you,". Celine says before stepping put out the room. "Protocol start".
25x reinforced steel wall shutters dropped down and runes glowed preventing any possible teleporting and a low stasis field appeared around both ha-eun and daelun, they could still move but they wouldnt be able to hurt themselves.
(Ooc: celine had these installed cause she had no idea what raising rumi would be like and she was not taking questions if her niece suddenly turned into basically a tiny werewolf)
Daelun glances around. The walls only induce fear. His back hunches, fur now growing along his spine. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” Daelun starts muttering. He isn’t apologizing for the earlier argument, he’s apologizing for letting the current events happen.
ha-eun nestles down next to daelun, offering her fur as comfort and making a small whine sound like a mother dog worried about her pup, ha-euns beastial side is weirdly more maternal then ha-eun is in human form.
Daelun flinches away from Ha-Eun’s fur. He scampers to the corner of the walls, panic in his eyes. He sobs, keeping his face hidden. It’s ten minutes of louder sobbing and more emotion than Ha-Eun has ever seen from Daelun. His tears run dry sometimes only to start back up again. The boy finally finishes his sob session. He’s still pained now, but his fur is as short as a grayhound’s and his form is mostly humanoid. He only panics at the thought of how he’ll get out of the confines he’s in.
Ha-eun makes a slight yip/bark sound cause she got a bit startled by daeluns sudden movements but she lets out a low soft rumble, thats maybe supposed to be soothing. Its a sound to let smaller younger demons usually the children of bigger ones know, "your safe, im here. Your not going to be hurt".
(Ooc: basically demonic beastial form ha-eun views daelun as her kid as well, the qoute is not her talking more just the general feeling she is trying to convey)
Daelun starts rubbing his back against the wall corner. He wants out. The back of his shirt starts shredding from friction.
Ha-eun gives a slight sorta bark-ish thing, that pretty clearly translates to a stop that, and uses some of her soul magic to mend daeluns shirt, she does not want to be stuck in a room with a shirtless boy.

Pov change, eunbi is now outside trying to claw her way inside, she herself has also gone full demon beast mode after being very upset she cant reach 2 out of the 3 favorite people, she is throwing herself against the wall when celine quickly stops her and grabs her, and sets her on her lap, "i know you want your cousin and your other mom, but we need to give them their space so they can wear themselves out safely". Celines voice is soft and a bit pained because eunbi is absolutely not having it and scratching celines arms to let her go, and while those hurt, it hurts more to see the child she now thinks as her baby upset and in pain, celine rubs slow circles around eunbis back and humming the lullaby ha-eun used earlier. Eunbi actually is starting to fall asleep to it. "Go to sleep baby, when you wake up. Im sure your mom and cousin will be fine".. Celine whispers, eunbi then finally lets herself rest.
Daelun keeps rubbing at the concrete. Dust starts falling from that part of the wall. All Daelun desperately wants to do right now is take a run in the woods, then everything will be okay, and he'll have calmed down. He can't take being trapped in this small box. After ten or eleven more mended shirts, the boy is fed up with how Ha-Eun keeps resetting things. He shoots her a primal glare, one of two dogs in a cage, one warning the other that they'll rip them limb from limb and skin them like a bbq rib. It's one of the most intimidating glares Ha-Eun has seen in her lifetime, somehow.
Ha-eun just scruffs him and sits him on the bed and gives the same glare back, she is very good at matching energies ecspecially when it comes to teenagers.
Daelun manages some words, even in his half-develeouped beastial form. "I need out," he pants.
Ha-eun ls speech is much rougher and a bit creepy since she hasn't forced herself to talk normal in this form in years it sounds like a demonic dog trying to talk. "Not safe, wait".
”Why isn’t it safe?” Daelun felt like he knew what he needed in order to calm down, and that he wouldn’t be leaving this form until he could get it.
"They Hurt us, you hurt them, no hurt, no control good ". Ha-euns brain was working hard to form something semi coherent but god it was hard for her.
”I won’t hurt anybody. I have control. I need space to regain more control and get everything out. This box makes things pent up. I’m not letting it out in front of you.”
"Fiendling cant hurt, bigger beastial, not strong enough". Ha-eun says.
(Ooc: fiendling is just the term for baby demon)
Daelun doesn’t quite know what that means. He only repeats “I need out.”
ha-eun points to a digital clock counting down, from 72 hours. (ooc: to anyone wondering celine never used this mechanism till now, she didnt think she needed too, since rumi was quiet and "good kid")
”Fuck.” Daelun hisses under his breath. His fingernails turned claws dig into his arms through his shirt, not creating enough lasting damage for Ha-Eun to reverse.
luckily the stasis prevents him from doing any actual damage to himself. "claw, wont work" ha-eun tells him.
Daelun doesn’t attempt any words, he only flips the older demon off.
