I love NOLA shotgun houses, but I must go thru hundreds of modernized ones that look the same w/white & gray soulless remodels. Finally, I found this lovely 1870 gem- even the exterior is beautiful  It’s $995K, but equivalent to the bland characterless reno’s. 

Now, this is amazing. Beautiful wood intact, including the pocket doors. This is how a sitting room should be restored.

The wood of the cabinetry matches the rest of the home and I love the glass doors in the uppers.

A family room shares the space with the kitchen. Aren’t the doors and windows stunning? 

Notice the illusion in the main bdm- they painted the above the doors to mimic the doors in the family room. 

Lovely large bath. Usually NOLA homes have a smaller space. 

The 2nd bdm is a lovely space, as well. 

And, it has its own bath. 

There’s even a cute laundry room. This little shotgun is a real gem.

The beautiful doors in the main bdm and family room open to a covered porch and patio by the pool. 

Gorgeous yard. Whoever designed this remodel knew what they were doing.
