This is a rather long speech about SCP larpers. If you don't feel like reading it, skip it. I'm doing this because they're really pissing me off.
They're pissing me off for three main reasons, which I'll list now.
The first reason is simply their number. I'm not kidding, there are tons of them. I'm sure over half the fandom is. Furthermore, at least a quarter of them haven't even opened the wiki once in their lives.
The second reason is victimization. As soon as you point out that you have to consume a work to be considered a fan, they accuse you of gatekeeping. They also make up things like that since the wiki doesn't have a canon (actually, this concept is wrong and more complicated than that), having read even one article automatically makes you a fan, even if you're quoting stories, articles, or canons you've never read. Or even "SCP fans think if you don't know all the SCP then you're a larper" when you simply asked them for 5. They also claim that the fandom is against those who favor popular SCP. This is completely false, since most fans favor the usual or at least very popular ones.
The third reason is that I don't understand the reason. Why pretend to be a fan of a work you don't like? If you don't like reading the stories or articles, why do it? I don't justify larping for a famous manga that's popular at a given moment, for example, but at least I understand why someone does it. But not in this case.
