Are Climbing Vines are Bad Idea in Autumn?
I've always loved the look of climbing vines on pergolas—they add such a natural, relaxed vibe. During spring and summer, my pergola was lush with greenery, but now that autumn’s settling in, the leaves are turning brown and starting to drop. I’m wondering if the vines are doing more harm than good at this point. They seem to trap moisture, and I’m not sure if that’s bad for the structure. I also don’t know if I should trim them back now or leave them until spring. Are climbing vines a bad idea in autumn, or do they still have a place?
