Appealing hobbies for a serie My name is Martha, and I have two great ideas for your programmes which, in my opinion are suitable for all people and also really interesting because average people don’t even have time for thinking about a hobby that can make them forget the bad days or relax. Our society is changing and so our activities, our lives and our customs and we need to find an activity that provides us time for ourselves while learning and developing new skills. Here are my suggestions. Making art while recycling Most of are never aware of how useful the things we have at home are, even if they don’t have any purpose of being there. There are people that can find uses for objects that are considerated trash and they make beautiful and useful things with them, starting by redesigning old clothes to make them look trendy, or making a lamp with a bottle of wine or even decorating useless dishes to turn them into adornments for our houses. It is really appealing to people of all kinds because they show a lot of easy things to do for men, for women, for kids, for teenagers, etcétera, and at the same time reduce their production of garbage and use their imagination. You can include judges to decide which is the best creation to make it more interesting. Planning camps In this one you will find creativity, team work, fun, relaxing times and a lot of knowledge about how to interact with people you haven´t met before. It would be interesting and exciting because people will have to improvise what they will do there and get the best of each of the members of that camp. It will work because people can plan by themselves things like this and have a great time with their family or friends and live the experience on tv. I hope my suggestions are taken into account and I can almost guarantee that the raiting will be really high because, those are things that are available for anyone and are really easy things to do.

Whats is spam?

When they send unsolicited electronic mail or text messages simultaneously to a number of e-mail addresses or mobile phones, and we can also define it as unsolicited electronic mail or text messages sent in this way. But where did the word came from? Most people have some vague awareness that it came from the spam skit by Monty Python's Flying Circus. In the sketch, a restaurant serves all its food with lots of spam, and the waitress repeats the word several times in describing how much spam is in the items. When she does this, a group of Vikings in the corner start a song: "Spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, lovely spam! Wonderful spam!" Until told to shut up. Thus the meaning of the term at least: something that keeps repeating and repeating to great annoyance. The term spamming got used to apply to a few different behaviours. One was to flood the computer with so much data as to crash it. Another was to "spam the database" by having a program create a huge number of objects, rather then creating them by hand. And the term was sometimes used to mean simply flooding a chat session with a bunch of text inserted by a program or just by inserting a file. The word is used all around the world, they all adopted it as part of their language because it was impossible to find a translation as the word was created by a specific situation in USA.

Stress in exam periods is becoming a big problem for students.

It is proved that we get stressed by many factors of our lives, but there is one that is affecting youngster’s correct development: The stress caused by schools. This happens everywhere and it gets worse when exam periods come. That is why I think schools and techers should design some strategies to avoid having this problem.

Tutors can be the clue.

If schools want to have a good start in solving this problem, they have to get opinions from students, but also from tutors, who are a really important because they are having direct contact with students and they recieve every concern, interest and worries that students have; that is why they need to have a god relationship with youngsters, so that they feel confident enough to tell tutors their problems and at the same time, tutors have to be capable enough to solve this problems and also make suggestions to improve their learning without feeling stressed, but that is not the only thing students need.

Having time for theirselves can make the difference

When we get totally into some difficult activity, or that we do not like it, we tend to feel bored and sometimes stressed. A good way of forgetting about this and being able to finish the activities as espected is to have time for relaxation and leisure activities, and schools can assign some hours for students to do it. This means students will have time for theirselves, they will also feel relaxed and with a good attitude while they do something productive for them. Schools should never forget that students need to have time away from academic activities to maintain the balance in their lives and to be healthy.

The best way to solve the problem

If we look for the best option, I wold say the second one is better because students forget about all that make them feel stressed, at least for a while. That way, students feel valuable as they are being given time for theirselves and they work with a better attitude.

THE PURÉPECHAS

History of the Purépechas

It was a pre-Columbian civilization. Its capital was called Tzintzuntzan (“Place of the hummingbirds”). They were a really smart civilization and because of that, they were never conquered by the Aztec empire, which was the strongest one in that epoch, after lots of attempts to do it. The purépechas knew how to work with metals and the aztecs wanted to learn, so they made a deal and they shared their knowledgement and received peace instead, but it ended with the arrival of the spanish, the defeat of the aztec empire and the death of many aborigens because of the smallpox. Tangaxoán, the King of the purépechas gave up before his people were hurt by the spanish and accepted being loyal to the spanish Crown. By 1529-1530, Nuño Guzmán entered Michoacán with 500 spanish soldiers and more tan 10.000 indigenous warriors. In 1530 Nuño ordered to steal the región and to kill Tangaxoán. In 1533, the spanish empire sent Don Vasco de Quiroga and finally he could establish peace again.

Religion

They were polytheistic and believed the universe was divided in sky, land and hell. Their principal god was Curicaveri, god of the war and sun. They controlled the natural phenomenona that we know nowadays that are because of other reasons.

Territories

The purépecha culture started its development from 1200 to 1521 aproximately, in the postclassic period. The territories that this people inhabited included the state of Michoacán, principally Pátzcuaro and Uruapan, and Guanajuato and Jalisco. It used to be part of Mesoamérica.

Language

It is kept alive by a small group of 100.000 persons in the north of Michoacán. It was the principal languaje of the Pre-Columbian settlers and it extended to the northwest of Mexico. Michoacán means the ones who own fish, in náhuatl.

Methods for deciding a career

For many Young people it is really hard to make one decision: choose the job they are going to work in for the rest of their lives. This is because they are afraid about making a big mistake and not enjoying what they do or because they are really confused due to the lack of information and experience talking about different jobs.

Schools should provide students courses to get to know the abilities and other things that a specific job requires, and add too activities for students to get closer to what to be a worker means in every aspect. It is actually really wise as soon as it does not become an unnecessarily stressing issue. Students complain about having to make lots of meaningless assignements. I understand them because they have lots of other things to do, but everything we learn, sooner or later, could be useful in our lives.

By the other hand, schools should also include in their study programs some subjects that could help students to learn to succed, even though they will face uknown technology that is going to lead them to unexplored areas and they have to be totally prepared to face this kind of challenges thinking and acting positively. That is why teachers cannot help us that much in guiding us through a specific job, because they have not worked in that and they do not know what the future has prepared for us, but they can give us tools that help us to analyze our identity and abilities so that we could choose the best option.

Taking all of this into account will help us to succed in our future job and life.

The sad side of Mexico

This is about my last vacations, when I went to the south of Mexico and found out how lucky I am for having this life, in a private school, living in my own house, having my family with me and not having to wake up early in the morning to go to work so I can eat something. We started our journey by car so we could decide were was the next destiny without pressures. One of our destinies was a town called San Juan Chamula, in Chiapas, a place known for its superstitious people and its cheap crafts. But what we found was people of all ages in very bad conditions trying to offer you what they made in really, really low prices. There were kids selling us some little animals made of wool, and then asking us to give them an apple that was in our van or money to buy some bread or tortillas or even shoes because they only had one pair and in really bad conditions. There was also an old woman trying to sell us blouses and begging us to buy with a smile in her face, but we had already bought a lot. I thought there was poorness at Morelia, but the truth is not. We are not used to work, we don't appreciate what we have and we don't care about the others. I didn't know how bad was the situation in Chiapas and I have to admit that when we arrived to our hotel that night, I started crying because I wish I could have helped them more, I still had money in my pocket that they could have used for buying some food and not suffering for hunger after their hard work all day long. It's also amazing that foreigners ask people to give them lower prices! You can see how poor they are and the minimum you can do is appreciate that handmade art and pay what it is worth. The government also forgets about this places. The streets don't have pavement, they don't have enough water and they don't have money to pay it just as electricity. There is only one school made of wood and with old chairs, but kids don't have money to buy books or notebooks or even pencils and they have to work all day to get money, so they can't go to school, and my question is: will they be able somehow to have a better life in the future? They grow old in that poorness and die between those conditions. They really deserve to live better, they are productive people who maintain our culture alive and we don't care about it. We just go to school because we have to, while they want to go but can't do it, and the worst thing is that we don't have plans of doing something to change this situations, if we live good, anything else matters. We are becoming more and more selfish and one day we are going to see the consequences and we won't be able to do anything.

The reason I love dogs

Hey guys, I actually didn't know what to write about but then my friend told me to write about my dog, and I will because I love dogs, and I had one of the saddest days in my life with my pet. I've always had dogs as pets and they're awesome animals... When I moved to Morelia In 2002, my dad bought us a puppy. It was a beautiful black daschund and we named her Chispa. She was 2 months old and so little that my dad could carry her in his hand. When we first saw her, she was inside a box. My dad had kept the secret of giving her to us as a Christmas gift for 2 weeks. We were excited just looking at the box because something inside it was moving. A few seconds later she jumped out of the box. That was the moment when my love for those kind of dogs started. We used to take her for a walk everyday and my dad trained her. She was a very obedient and calmed dog. Suddenly she was my entire world, and I know you may think I was exaggerating, but I was a little and innocent girl and that doggy, my sisters and me were growing old together. Chispa was always happy, even when she had spent the whole day in the backyard because we were not at home, even when my dad shouted at her for pooing in the living room, even when I when I arrived home and ate before going and give her a little bit of attention. She was always available, just like all dogs in this world. When she was approximately 5 years old, we adopted a cat, but it was aggressive with us, so we gave it to my aunt, then we adopted a dog that used to live in the street, but it died (my mom really loved that dog, and so do us and Chispa). Then we adopted another dog. We named her Canela. At first Canela and Chispa had lots of problems because Chispa didn't like her, but then they got used to each other. When Chispa was 7, she had 6 puppies. We gave away 4 of them and we kept 2 with us. They were named Stich (because of his funny eyes) and Cascabel (because she has a birth fracture in her tail that is kind of a bell). They both got sick and only Cascabel survived. Stich's death was really really sad, but not as much as Chispa's. She got cancer and she was not able to move. She could only move her eyes and mouth, but suddenly she wasn't able to eat and she was suffering a lot, so we decided that she had to die. My mom and dad took her to the vet without telling me. I knew where they were going when they were already there, but they returned both crying with Chispa alive, they said they couldn't do it. They said she was going to die whenever god wanted to. I guess god wanted her to die as soon as possible. The next day she could barely open her eyes. My dad told me to say goodbye to her because they were taking her to the vet again, and this time she was not going to return. I cried a lot, I hugged and kissed her for a while, and then I cried again. Mommy told me to stop crying because Chispa could get nervous or scared, and so I did and let her go. She was a great dog, and now I have Canela, Cascabel and a little puppy called brownie. I love them as I did with Chispa and I'm still thinking that dogs are not just pets, but part of our families.
