“I think a little over a month, I might not have found my soulmate but I found my brother!”
“Shit, really? How’d that happen?”
j-jessetyler:
“Its that or a cold shower? Your choice.” shrugging he took a long swig of his drink, emptying it entirely. Raising an eyebrow he smirked, “Smart girl. What are you drinking tonight?”
“Guess I’m sticking with the cold shower option, for now,” Maya replied. She pushed her empty glass across the bar, knowing that more alcohol could only lead to regrettable decisions. “Actually, I’m done for the night. What about you?”
melanie--walker:
“Trust me, I understand. I didn’t know how crazy I was going to be my first day here either, but it’s really been amazing after that!”
“Really? How long have you been here for?”
j-jessetyler:
With everyday that passed Jesse found himself becoming a regular at the bar, not that he felt he needed to drink but just that he needed something him to keep his mind from wandering and it always led him to the same place. Holding up his two fingers he signled the bartender who already knew him on a first name basis. Taking a seat he let his hands run through his dark locks as he heard a voice whining about something or other. Looking up he grabbed the drink placed before him and took a swig. The brown liquid hitting the spot, “You should just skinny dip then. Doubt anyone night swims here or really cares for that matter.
Maya perked up as someone took a seat beside her at the bar, pleased that someone other than the bartender was there to indulge in her mindless babbling. “I don’t think grimy salt water is really a substitute for a shower, but I appreciate the suggestion.” she said, swiveling in her seat to face the stranger sitting beside her. “Besides,” Maya smirked, “I’d need to get a few more drinks in me before I start taking off my clothes.”

She turned to the girl next to her quietly and just listened until she was sure she was done. “Okay just breathe, you can use my shower if you’d like, will that solve your problems?”
“Sorry, don’t listen to me,” Maya apologized, realizing that her constant stream of complaints would not make the best impression on her first night in town. “Thanks for offering, though. I’m just super stressed after spending the day in a bunch of airports, you know?”
“And there’s no hot water,” Maya whined, examining her now-empty glass of rum as a soft hum of lounge music played in the background of her complaints. At 2 AM, few were left at the modest hotel bar, and those who were weren’t paying attention to Maya. Nevertheless, she continued talking to no one in particular. “I mean, how am I supposed to shower in ice cold water? I’ve been traveling all day and want to relax, not relive the goddamn ice bucket challenge. The ocean’s probably warmer.”
