The generation that wonders why young people canāt get good jobs or buy property is the same generation that jacked up all the real estate and sent all the jobs overseas.
You will always be too much of something for someone: too big, too loud, too soft, too edgy. If you round out your edges, you lose your edge.

Insects have the entire world to fly around, yet they all choose to come through the crack in my window
I was feeling very comfortable; the coffee had warmed me up, and through the open door came scents of flowers and breaths of cool night air.

Here are the first few comics from a series Iāve started making about a regular toad.
Utakleiv - Lofoten

Sarabi was the real hero of The Lion King. She lost her husband and her son and still held her shit together under the new regime for years
āGod would never put a female soul into a male body bc he never makes mistakes.ā Excuse me? God literally was so embarrassed by his human creations that he destroyed the whole entire Earth in a flood leaving only one guyās family and a bunch of animals stuck on a boat together. What on Earth are you talking about ?!?!
The story of Noah is literally God going, āFuck this, Iām starting over.ā
āGot the morbsā should be a thing.
Victorian slang is AMAZING, and select phrases really need to make a comeback.
āBitch the potā - Pour the tea (HOW RELEVANT IS THIS!?)
āBang up the elephantā - Absolutely perfect; super stylish
āWell, thatās shot the baleā - Something that has missed the mark entirely
āChurch-bellā - A woman prone to gossip
āChuckabooā - A dear friend, a bosom chum
āBeer and skittlesā - A great time (see also: Irish Gaelic ācraicā)
āButter on baconā - Something overdone or too extravagant
āCupidās kettle drumsā - Breasts, particularly large ones
āGigglemugā - A cheerful smiling face
All of these??? Make me smile??? Theyāre so weird and wonderful I love them??? Especially bitch the pot because thatās something I could totally hear myself sayingā¦that and chuckaboo
I worked in a Victorian tea house in my youth and Iām telling you, you havenāt lived till you hear a the 98 year old lady (this was some 15 years ago) utter the words ābitch the potā because it was what they used to say when the tea house first opened and it just sort of stuck through all the generations.
Okay but now Iām sad that Arthur Conan Doyle never had Watson refer to Holmes as his chuckaboo
