[ Shaking her head at her best friend’s request the brunette huffed as she looked down at the watch she was holding. Leave to Matthew to be the one to find her, she wasn’t surprised after all they were the people who knew her best, her eyes however traveled down to the watch she was holding and her eyes began tearing up again and before she could really think it through she rushed forward and pulled her friend in for a hug, a sniffle falling from her lips. ] “Screwed up Matt, like one of those can’t fix it screw ups. If we all never have lunch together, I’m… you should be with Whitney. Not me, this is my fault. [ She felt guilty, along with so many other things and despite wanting to she just couldn’t keep them to herself anymore because it wasn’t just Whitney, it was her brother. She missed her brother and pretending that she didn’t wasn’t working anymore… it never had. ] I miss him. [ She mumbled, as felt tears fall down her cheeks. ] I miss my brother.
[ Matt quickly wrapped his arms around the girl, realizing for the first time since this fight between them had happened, the real reasons behind it. He felt utterly idiotic for not taking his head out of his ass sooner. This was bigger than all of them, and they needed to stick together if they wanted to make it through. ] It’s okay, Fee. It’s okay. [ He spoke soothingly, or, at least, he tried too. ] Hey, we’re all a little screwed up, alright? It’s nothing new, it’s nothing that’s gonna hold us back. There ain’t nothing out there we can’t handle. I’m right where I need to be, I don’t wanna hear none of that. [ Pulling away, he wiped the ears outta her eyes, brushing a strain of her hair behind her ear. ] I know you miss him, I can’t even imagine. He wouldn’t want this for you though, Fee. He’s want you to be happy.
