Free yourself from the tyranny. Protest. Volunteer in your communities and help everyone you can.
Go donate and/or help out at your local food pantry/soup kitchen.
Volunteer at your local library. Maybe you can teach a class or get involved with the existing programs.
Get in contact with community foundations and find out what problems need attention in your area.
Donate to programs who got cut off by the federal administration, such as state humanities programs or your local PBS/NPR station (if you can!).
Shop local and small as much as you can. But also remember there is no ethical consumption under capitalism and if you are unable to, that is okay.
Find out when your local farmerβs market runs and go. Shop from the produce grown by your neighbors that didnβt come from across the country. Look at the booths that arenβt selling anything, see what theyβre supporting. Get to know the people there.
MAGA does not want you to be involved in your communities. They are expecting you to keep yourself isolated, to forget there are others around you- as they do themselves. You can help those around you at a smaller scale to do your part in the fight.
Community is resistance. Fighting with people online does nothing but create more separation. Use that energy to fight back while arming those around you with the tools to survive.
