Sims 3 Barbie Movies Legacy Challenge Version 1/2: Order of Release
So... I made a legacy challenge for the Sims 3. I originally made it for the Sims 4, but, considering the big buyout, I am not playing it anymore and decided to return to my origins. I haven't tested it out, so if you see this and feel like there is room for improvement, please do inform me. I want this to be fun for everyone.
With this said, this is a legacy challenge involving 15 gens based on the classic barbie movies up to fashion fairytale. If i recall correctly to when I first drafted this, there are some movies that I decided to skip, but the ones I consider most important are here.
The challenge is divided into two parts, as you can see, because you can choose to play this in one of two ways: according to the release of the movies or according to the chronological order of events (if we ignore the whole 'Barbie is an actress' thing). The rules stay mostly the same to be honest, but the order of generations changes drastically.
For this challenge, I do recommend using the Sunset Island 2.0 custom world by ScarletQueenKat1. Otherwise, it will be hard to complete some achievements.
Your heir can be of any gender (although using only female sims/heirs is recommended to stay true to the movies)
All generations must be as Barbie-esque in appearance as possible (even if they are male or non-binary)
You may have any lifespan turned on
Money cheats cannot be used
You must complete each gen’s lifetime wish and career to continue with the challenge
Gen 1: Barbie in the Nutcracker
You have always wanted to travel and know more of the world, but you had never had the time growing up to do it. Suddenly, as you find yourself in a brand new world, you are swept away on a trip somewhere far away, where you meet many interesting people, to say the least. You get a horse, you turn into something you never thought you would be, and you meet the parent of your future children, as well as a very annoying person. The whirlwind of emotions is enough to distract you from the future loss of one of your children... Where might have they gone... and what are you going to do about it?

Have a horse called Marzipan
Become enemies with someone met on vacation at any destination world
Have two children with someone from this same vacation
Turn into a fairy as a Young Adult, after meeting an enemy and forming a relationship with future partner
You must finish all rules before the heir becomes a child
Gen 2: Barbie as Rapunzel
You love your parents and your sibling so much! Well, at least the memory that you have of them. Since you were a kid, you have been living in a closed-off space with a really mean woman who makes you do all the chores and all the food... You don't really know who this woman is or what is out there, but she has become the only human contact that you have. You start finding refuge in art, painting as much as you can. She does go out a lot, though... So much so that you find hidden-away paths in your house. Paths that lead to the outside...
Note: they might be born as a fairy, if this is the case, do not worry, they can stay as one, or you can cheat into making them human

If you want to stay true to the movies — name this sim Rapunzel
Be “kidnapped” as a child and never leave the house (this house must have a secret basement that leads to the outside - if possible, build this house as a tower).
Only be able to leave the house as a teen and while the “kidnapper” is at work — they must always come back
Run away as a young adult with someone met in the outside world, and marry this person as soon as possible
Master the Painting skill
Gen 3: Barbie of Swan Lake
Since your mom grew up away from normal society, she didn't really know how to be the best mom ever. Your interactions were weird and awkward, so when you move out, you find yourself lost in a forest (How that's connected? Well, I'm not sure either, but it happened). You are now unable to leave during the day for some unknown reason... Something weird ties you to this forest. One night, you meet someone, and everything changes. You are finally able to have a normal life and dedicate yourself to a passion you never realised you had! Baking!

Culinary after the curse is broken
If you want to stay true to the movies — name this sim Odette
The curse: Move out as soon as they turn into a YA into an empty lot which they can only leave between 7PM and 7AM (interaction with other sims outside of this time is also prohibited) — You can not build in this lot with the exception of an outhouse)
Until the curse is broken, money can only be earned through fishing, gardening, collecting, etc. (i.e. no part-time or full-time jobs)
The house must have a pool
They must marry someone they meet at night and they must have a full relationship bar before they get married
After marrying, the sim can finally leave their house and build on lot… The curse is finally broken!
As the curse is broken, join the culinary career
Have two children who are opposites in looks (if possible, make them twins)
Gen 4: Barbie as Princess and the Pauper
Note: in this gen, both sims will be part of the challenge; you may choose either of them to produce the heir

Have 2 cats, one for each sim
The chosen producer of the heir must have only one child
Your parents always gave you baked goods. As the first child, you were always given what you desired and all the attention possible. Unfortunately, that also meant you were expected to be the best in studies, career, and all other things you could imagine. Unable to dedicate your life to the artistic studies you desired, you ended up following the footsteps your parents wanted for you in politics. Your only solace was your home studies and your never-ending connection with your sibling.

Have a relationship while having an affair with their childhood best friend
Leave their partner at the altar and then marry their childhood best friend
Be best friends with sibling
Master the Charisma, Logic, and Instrument of your choice skill
Since all attention ended up going to your sister, everyone was too busy noticing you were the one doing all the chores. Your parents always expected you to clean the house but never really recognised the work you put onto the home life. The good part is that, without all the pressure and vigillance no one really cared when you decided to become a singer after many longer years being mistreated in your job as a stylist. Even with all the lack of attention from your parents, you always had your sibling.
Stylist (as a Young Adult), and later Singer (as an Adult)

Have an affair with their sibling’s partner and marry the person after they are left at the altar
Have a terrible relationship with your colleagues as a stylist

Gen 5: Barbie: Fairytopia
You had heard stories about your great-great-grandparent as a child. How she had gained this powers out of nowhere. You always thought it was bullocks, but then you started to wonder... You become obsessed with the idea of becoming like them. So much so that you lose sight of your kid, and, keeping the good old family trauma alive, they disappear misteriously...

Have a blue and pink cat — Bibble! (take this rule as you wish)
Have a female best friend who accompanies you through your life

Have two kids (the first child must “disappear” before the other is person in preparation for the next Gen — take this rule as you wish)

Gen 6: Barbie and the Magic of the Pegasus
You are an only child... right? Well, that's not a question for now. Because you love winter, and you love the cold, and you love ice skating in the cold winter! As a teen, the only thing you can think of is skating, really, so you are completely thrown out of the loop when you find out you have an older sister. Your parents seem to be astonished as well. This is confusing, so you and your long lost sister end up going on a bonding adventure to a distant land where you meet an incredibly annoying lad/lass (or not ;))
Note: they might be born as a fairy, if this is the case, do not worry, they can stay as one, or you can cheat into making them human

Go to the Winter Festival every time it’s in town and ice skate every day
They must be the younger sibling, although they must have no relationship with their sibling until they are a teen
Have a great relationship with their sibling after the reconnection
Dislike someone they meet on vacation, then have them move in and become friends, then marry them (basically an enemies-to-friends-to-lovers trope)
Master the Athletic skill
Gen 7: Barbie Fairytopia: Mermaidia
You are the first in your family to actually keep the fairy gene! How cool! It's a pity you gave it away to become a mermaid. However, do not fret! You become a fairy again! Phew... what a mess... At least you have your fairy grandparent to guide you through all this and some new friends to keep you company. If only you didn't have so many kids... Oh no...
Note: if you let the last gen stay as a fairy, they might be born as one as well. If this is the case, keep them as one; if not, cheat into making them one as soon as possible

Alchemist as a Young Adult; Any part-time career as an Adult (only part-time allowed)
If you want to stay true to the movies — name this sim Elina as a tribute to their grandparent (you can call her Elina II if you’re feeling funky)
Must have a great relationship with their grandparent
Must live next to the sea during their Young Adult years
Befriend at least 2 mermaids
Must lose their fairy powers as a Young Adult, turn into a mermaid but lose those powers as an Adult, and, right after losing those powers, become a fairy once again (you can use cheats or go the hard way and do it in-game)
Change careers as an adult to any part-time job
Have as many kids as possible (if the children are born as fairies, cheat them into being human)
Gen 8: Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses
Your parents really could not keep up with all of you, so, as your elder siblings took care of you, you ended up taking care of all your younger siblings as well. Which is cute and all, if your caring nature didn't make you almost a mother, which you really shouldn't be at such a young age. Alas, you are now in charge of your siblings. You really ought to only have one kid after all this.
If you want to stay true to the movies — name the kids as any of the following names from oldest to youngest: Ashlyn, Blair, Courtney, Delia, Edeline, Fallon, Genevieve (the heir), Hadley, Isla, Janessa, Kathleen or Lacey
Have a good relationship with all siblings
Must take charge of taking caring of younger siblings
Fall in love with a service sim (maid, babysitter, etc.)
Gen 9: Barbie Fairytopia: Magic of the Rainbow
If the fairy gene skipped one generation, why couldn't it have reached you as well?? You want to be just like your grandparent, so you go in search of it. You have a deep connection with spring, you are the best student there is, the only thing left is to become a fairy and be mentored by the best fairy there is!

Attend and play an instrument at the Spring Festival every day when it’s in town
Have a great relationship with their grandparent
Have most people at school dislike them, having only 2 friends

Become a fairy during high school and be mentored by their grandparent
Master the Fairy Magic skill and an Instrument of your choice
Gen 10: Barbie as the Island Princess
Your parent was so busy worrying about being a fairy, they didn't even notice how much you didn't care for it. You weren't even born one for goodness sakes, why would you care? The only things that you truly love are animals and the ocean. You need some time away to think, to be one with the beach and the sea. So you go and leave completely off-the-grid until you reach the conclusion that you really want to do is save lives, both of animals and people.

Must leave the house as soon as they are turned into a Young Adult and move next to the sea where they must be completely alone with only animals until they are an Adult
Can finally join the medical career after becoming an Adult. Until they then, money can only be earned through fishing, gardening, collecting, etc. (i.e. no part-time or full-time jobs)
Have a greenhouse in their lot
Master the Gardening skill
Gen 11: Barbie and the Diamond Castle
Your parent was a lover of nature, and those values were passed on to you. So much that you don't really care for money, you don't even earn enough of it! Okay, I know that doesn't sound so good... However, what does sound good is that you get to live in poverty with your super duper close female roommate and your lovely flower garden. Hurray! If only you could make some money off of it...

Must move in with their childhood best friend ( or female lover ;) ) and live in a cottage
Have a flower garden at home
Master the Bass, Guitar, Drums, Piano, and Gardening skills
Gen 12: Barbie in ‘A Christmas Carol’
As you grew up in poverty and saw your parents struggle with every single penny, you knew that wasn't what you wanted for yourself. You wanted money, you wanted luxury, and most of all, you wanted to make a name for yourself. So you did. Unfortunately, those desires made you greedy, and, honestly, completely unbearable to be around. You should be grateful there is still one person who is open to help you out and become the sim they see that you can be.

Have a bad relationship with all their co-workers
Have a childhood best friend

Gen 13: Barbie and the Three Musketeers
Your parent was hard. Your parent was a brute. Although the tough love gave you the tools to search for adventure in unexpected places, it also gave you a head as stubborn as a bull's. You will become a guardian of people, one way or the other, and you will do it with grace!

Gen 15: Barbie: A Fashion Fairytale
You didn't really get the love for the ocean of your parent, but you did get the love for the stage of your great-grandparent. You left the ocean life for the ones who truly love it and decided to surf... on the internet (wink wink). With your people skills, you become an actress overnight. You like it, but you don't love it... People never really listen to you. What you truly love is fashion, so, little by little, you start becoming a rolemodel for the people around you. Magic might not manifest physically for you, but it will always be in your blood, because you are and always will be Barbie after all.
