This was a little gift I had made for the Mardini-Beshara family. I was visiting them for only 17 hours in Paris and since I hadn't seen them in almost 4 years, I thought giving them a sweet little painting would make their day! :) Luckly it fit with the overall decor of their home! <3
Passiflora or commonly called Passion Flower has been on my mind lately. I've been feeling very inspired to paint flowers again, and this time with a geometrical twist. This is a gift to Robert, my husband. I love you.
Dendraster derives from the Greek Dendros and Asteri, literally meaning Tree Star. It is circle with a pentagram.
This was my first commission painting for a close friend.
I got inspired by Sir Roger Penrose tiling, however I didn't respect their original proportion and went by doing it as I felt. I chose for it to be in blue tonalities, in order to connect with the eye chakra, the third eye. "The third eye is referred to the gate that leads within to inner realms and spaces of higher consciousness". I hope this will help my friends introspective voyage, and find healing.
Something beyond any logical explanation occurred to me a few weeks ago. I had picked up painting again and this time I was starting a sunflower. I was so inspired by the Flower of Life pattern on a pendant I had, that I immediately wanted to do my variation on canvas. I drew up a pattern, made it octogonal but respecting the original pattern design. At that time I was reading "The Mystery of the Aleph" by Amir Aczel, and later realized 8 was also a number that is closely related to the symbol for infinity, as its symbol is an 8 laying down. I do not know or I am not 100% conscious of my work when I am doing it, I realize of the connections when I am done with it and I put the pieces of the puzzle together to understand my work.
That same day I started painting, a few hours into the work, my fiance notifies me of my grandmother's death. She had died in her sleep. I believe, with all sincerity, due to my strong connection with her, that I had started painting this in her honor. Somehow, I was going to face something so tremendously painful as the sudden death of a person I loved and cared for and since I was thousands of kilometers away, I wouldn't be able to bid her goodbye. This was my farewell to her, and I represented it by a flower. She loved flowers. My eternal connection with her is there, forever grateful for her teachings and love. My love for you and your love for me was Infinite. 8 * laying down. Rest in Peace.

THE TRINITY - MIND SOUL BODY
This is one of my earliest works. A series of three triangular canvases purchased in Cairo. I got them because I love geometry and I remember I got only one, I went back to Russia and my dad went to Egypt, he then brought me the other two canvases. I painted the sequence as it is named.
MIND is the result of our systematic and automatic capabilities. SOUL represents the essence from which we come from "As Above, so Below". And BODY is the transitory vessel we are in, in this life time.
There is much more to this, but if it told you I'd break the mystery.
By the time Radiohead had released "King of Limbs", I was painting this. I did not know their first release for that album was going to be "Lotus Flower". Once again all the pieces of my puzzle came together. Sometimes, synchronicities happen. I am on a same wave length with some people and they come around just when I need them, and when they need me. At the time I was inspired with Buddhism, and the lotus flower unfurling, as a constant process in one's constant learning. I want to find Enlightenment. I want to learn what there is to be learned...I want to see what there needs to be seen. I want to taste what needs to be tasted. I know I am on the right path. I am here to spread love and practice compassion. Namaste.
One day as we were exiting the building, in Hyde Park, Chicago. We saw 2 grasshoppers on the cement border. they were as green as an apple, moving slowly and interacting with one another. We took some pictures of them, but one started interacting with us. This is what inspired me to paint this. That Grasshopper.
Flyer for my first Solo Exhibit. Sponsored by the Chilean Embassy in the Russian Federation. Great flyer design by Robert Beshara
The Mer Ka Ba, a vehicle for reaching enlightenment. Done especially for the film "FOUR" by Robert Beshara, soon to be released.
Chilean born, cosmopolitan and polyglot, lived abroad most of my life, never truly settling, always a nomad at heart. Travelling from culture to culture, narrowing the gap of distance and enlarging the bridge to Oneness. Fine Arts is a form of self expression and a form to express the collective unconscious.
“Intersections” is how I view life. We meet, we match, we mix and we mature in the course of a lifetime. Intersection is the metaphor for all these changes we will live in our lives. Lighter moments will cheer us up, and darker ones will be our greatest obstacles, or push us forward
There had been a lot of Pride in this house in the recent months. I was finding it hard to focus, to work, to paint. I decided to break the routine, and tried to express that pride and let it become compassion. I found the peacock to be the symbol of that pride, I read but I don't remember in which culture, the peacock was a beautiful bird, but too full of himself he became victim of his own pride. He perished. Instead in this painting, no death was required, perhaps a metaphorical one, as I wanted pride to transform into Compassion instead. "Pride to Compassion" encapsulates that need to find balance within me, within the environment I was in, within that sense of too much pride we often hold within us. We don't take enough time to think about what the other feels. We are apathetic beings. We are not shaken by the realities of others. We just focus on our reality. We are all one.
This has been my Arts and Crafts for DIY for years now.
Theme 3 - Robert Beshara
"Life is Beautiful, it's just a matter of Perspective"
Alchemical Compass or Snowflower/Sunflake is inspired by Dr. Masaru Emoto's studies on Water. I believe everything around you will have an effect as you send a vibe to it whether it's verbal, physical or mental. Call me cuckoo, but I think all things have an effect on you and you have on them. Alchemical Compass is part of the voyage, and part of the seasons in this voyage. You'll go through cold and warmth during the 4 seasons, however the climate is quite temperamental.
