A soft chuckle escaped from her, wiping away her tears and she smiled at the phone. Zen was such a sweetheart and it warmed her heart that he was looking out for her. Kenzi knew that she could always rely on him. She just hoped that Sebastian didn’t make things weird between them. With a sigh, she grabbed a hair tie and pulled her hair up as she glanced at the time. The girl had to go run some errands and she knelt down, giving her new cat a quick kiss on the head, murmuring, “See you later baby. I’ll be back.”

Zen hoped he had garnered success in cheering Kenzi from her low mood. She always spread such warmth through the RFA chatroom with her presence, even behind a phone screen — the idea of undeserved sadness marring her day wasn’t one that he was willing to allow. Taking another drink from the rapidly cooling mug of coffee in his hand, he began to surrender to the fact that he had to get moving. Upon heading into the bedroom, Zen tossed his cell on the bed before searching through his drawers for the proper clothing.

Locking her phone, she made her way towards the city area, meeting up with her friend, Sebastian to go shopping. She needed some summer clothing for herself and also needed to get more pet supplies for her and Seven’s cat.

Kenzi’s eyebrows furrowed together, staring at the door that had them seperated. She knew he was hiding, knew that he didn’t want to do this. Huffing loudly, her hands were placed upon her hips as her lips pressed to a firm line, “Hyun Ryu, if you do not open this door right now, I will pick lock this door and open it for you. I am not speaking to you through a door. Quit being a child and face me like an actual man.”

She knew she was hitting somewhat below the belt but she wanted to get her point across. She was only trying to be helpful but she certainly wasn’t going to tell anyone that he wasn’t feeling well. Anyone who knew him, knew that he didn’t get sick. The brown haired female actually had came up with a plan, a plan to help him escape if he didn’t want to do this anymore. To not be a royal anymore. She may have the kindest heart and will help anyone in need but she is also stern when she needed to be. She knew he needed some tough love. Sighing heavily, she brushed a piece of her hair behind her hair, “Please, Zen. Let me in.”

Her lips curved into a tired smile, bringing the phone to her mouth as she shut her eyes, tears leaking from the corners and slid down her cheeks. Zen was so kind to her and she could not fathom as to why he would be so kind. She wasn’t lying when she had said that she wished that he had been her brother instead. She knew she could look up to him and trust him.

It came as something of a relief to know that the RFA, as well as Kenzi’s friends, had been acting as a support. The memory of leaving home and being completely alone flitted through Zen’s thoughts before he pushed it away — he preferred to focus on her at the moment, and not the past. Perhaps looking ahead was the best way to move on, for both of them. Regardless, the idea that Kenzi would like him as a brother brought a grin to his lips. It was a nice thought, and one he certainly didn’t mind.

She breathed out deeply, closing her eyes for a moment then opened them once again, staring at her phone. She hadn’t told anyone of her past. Her childhood friend is the only one who truly knew what had happened. Placing her phone down, she stood up and stretched her arms above her head, her back popping in several places. Kenzi hoped that Zen wouldn’t judge her.

It was hard to believe that anyone would act so cruelly towards Kenzi, much less her own brother ( step-brother or not ). She had been something akin to a miracle for the RFA, breathing life back into the organization and reminding all of them exactly why it had begun in the first place. Although Zen had wanted her to feel comfortable enough to open up to him, and he was glad she did, an ache of sadness for her bloomed in his chest. He knew how it felt to receive hostility from family — perhaps she would allow the RFA to become her new family as it had become his.

2. A lullaby

It wasn’t often that he’d found himself accepting the part in a production that brought him so very far from home, especially not to a place that guided him through another time zone and another language barrier entirely. It was such an over-whelming thing, to be drifted to another part of the hemisphere, and while he had the comfort of his co-workers and the supportive messages and vlog posts that were sent to him through his social media pages, he still couldn’t shake the sensation of tight alienation. It weighed like a stiff rock in the cage of his chest, and gripped at his throat every time he had to venture out to the corner store, or to pick up a bite to eat alone, armed with nothing but a translation book and his cellphone.

As much as he would have liked to venture and explore more, he was quietly terrified of getting himself hopelessly lost, with no way to find his way back to the hotel their cast and crew was holing up in. This meant that there was about a 50 mile radius in which he was willing to travel, and within that radius, outside of convenience stores, he found himself ghosting the aisles of the one music shop he’d happened upon one afternoon. He returned here frequently, smiling neatly to the one to two cashiers that were usually there, before finding himself lost in a pair of headphones and the soothing voice of words unfamiliar to him, yet calming enough to unwind his nerves.

He’d gotten stuck on a particular artist for the past few days, having downloaded the album, zoned in on a particular song that reminded him of the voice that would often call him, from thousands of miles away, just to wish him goodnight. The song had been on his mind, and in his dreams as he would often fall asleep to it on repeat. It bothered the corners of his mind as he attempted to decipher the lyrics, trying to mimic the sounds and strains in the language, wondering if he was saying the words as properly as he felt their meaning.

Regardless of all that, regardless of the imperfection of diction and stumbling of verbs and syllables, he still found his voice reciting the lyrics through the receiver to her ( x ), in a voice as calm as she sounded sleepy. Because even despite his urging to, she still insisted on remaining awake long enough to call him, to text him, to reach out to him:

I am a ROLEPLAY WHORE in general.

- SHIP WHORE: May it be platonic, romantic or hate ship, I’m definitely up for it. I want realistic relationships for my muses–people who challenge their beliefs and character–and it doesn’t just limit to romance. Specifically, I like ships that contribute to my muse’s character development and my partner’s muse’s development, too.

- PLOT WHORE: I have a lot of plots I want to write (you can see all them in my RP goals tag.) I’m very flexible with them, however, I do have some limits. If an idea makes me feel comfortable, I’d let you know, though. From canon plots down to anime-based plots and the likes. I’d be down with Werewolf / Vampire, Biblical, Apocalypse, Supernatural, you name it, and etc.

- ANGST WHORE: I love angst. I’m a sucker for it. I live for it. It could be cute angst, dark angst, adventurous angst, or anything mixed with angst. I love to make my muses suffer and throw them into compromising situations. It’s a key to development.

- DEVELOPMENT WHORE: I’m very okay with pre-established relationships and fast-paced relationships, however, I want development to come with it. I want something to change for my muses; I want them to grow. They’re my babies, and as the mun, I want them to mature and change for the better . . . or worse.

- THREAD WHORE: One thread is never enough for me. If I have one thread with you, chances are, I’ll want more. (May it be with the same pair of muses, or another set of muses.) I believe that it just doesn’t take one event/encounter to make our muse’s relationships and characters flourish. IC asks are also included in the thread. I tend to send asks related to the event/encounter of our characters

- ASK / MEMES WHORE: Once I get comfortable with you OOC, I tend to send a lot of them. Although sometimes, I’m very hesitant to send them, lest I’d annoy you. If it irritates you, though, please let me know.
