McKenzie sat on the roof of the Library building, having climbed up the fire escape in an attempt to get an unobstructed view of the town’s firework show. Noticing another person near her, she raised both red brows at them. “So are you here to tell me to get the hell down or are you going to come join me?” she asked casually as she took another hit from the blunt she’d brought with her.

“I saw an old woman pull up a sixteen year old’s pants today because they were practically hanging down to his knees, I knew I loved old people for a reason.”

“Dear god, that sounds horrifying. You’d think with all those years they would have figured out how to wear pants.” Mac sighed.

McKenzie stared at the stranger for a moment. “Pass.”

Putting on her best faux smile, Mac tilted her head and smiled. “Nope. Never seen him in my life. Although honestly most people around here look the same so.. who knows really.”

‘’YOU– you..’’ marcel looked down into his pants pockets, then pointed up at her. ‘’MAC, i hate it when you do that. and this?? this is the best stomach, you have ever laid your eyes on.’’

“OH don’t be so dumb. Your phone is totally safe.” Mac smiled and wave it in front of him. “I just had to make one phone call since my phone took a bath in the lake the other night.”

Roxanne rolled her eyes. “There better not be any dicks on my face.”

“The one that made it is very poorly drawn, I promise. It just looks like a two year old drew a very small rocket.” Mac smiled innocently.

“Adams. Right. Well, I’ll be sure to be on the look out for men in tacky polo shirts.” Mac joked wistfully as she knew she would never want to throw her drug dealer under the bus.

McKenzie likes to think that she doesn’t care about her appearance, but her outfit choices beg to differ. Her makeup is caked more often than not with a hue dark enough to match the rest of her clothes. Most of her outfits appear on the greyscale when it comes to colors. Her hair is almost always worn down and straight, occasionally with a beanie. She is usually never seen without the following items:

Combat Boots- A staple of most of her outfits, almost all her shoes are some form of clunky combat boot. It takes a lot to get her to wear something other than her favorite pair of black boots.

A pack of cigarettes- If she’s outside, she probably has a cigarette in her hand, most likely stained from her deep red or black lipsticks. She carried these in a book bag or a backpack, but will never be seen with a purse. She also prefers pants with pockets for this exact reason- so she doesn’t have to carry around a bag to have her lighter with her.

Overall, McKenzie’s style could be described as modern grunge.

HUMMING a little song to himself as he took off his shirt, he grabbed the new shirt he had picked out and turned around. ‘’JESUS christ, you scared me. what are you DOING here anyways??’’

“Oh please, it’s not like I haven’t seen a guy’s stomach before.” Mac chuckled. “I borrowed your phone so I came to give it back. So... here,” she held out the phone she’d pickpocketed earlier as she rolled her eyes.

“Ah yes, please. Continue with your completely enthralling talk of… what was it? Doesn’t matter, apparently I stopped listening halfway through.” It’d been a rough night of studying for the girl and she was on edge.

She raised a red brow at the girl. “Okay first of all, I wasn’t talking to you. Second, if I was it would have been something important to fuck you for theoretically not listening.” the red head whined as she let out another puff of smoke. “You seem like you need a smoke.”

“No, it probably is hay behind my ear,” Joey admitted, moving her hand to check, “A man not too far from here owns horses and lets the pre-vet kids come and see them.”

Mac let out a disappointed sigh as she thought it was a blunt behind her ear. “That sucks. Horses are disgusting and literally smell like shit.”

Roxanne sprang awake, “Shit. How long was I out for?”

“A few hours.” McKenzie said flatly. “But don’t worry, I didn’t let them draw too many dicks on your face.”

Instantly recognizing the picture, McKenzie silently nodded. “Will do, officer...?” she searched for the name, sure she’d been told before.
