Unpopular Opinion: Eric looks like a white Rayan.

Every time I see an Eric illustration, I think it’s Rayan. To claify, I don’t get their in-game sprites confused, just the episode illustrations. I think the characters look a little too similar--especially in illustrations where they’re facing profile.

I know that the ap and money logins aren’t supposed to be taken literally. (Let’s be real, this game is hardly free to play.) So sometimes I think it’s funny that we only get $5 a day at login. Especially in University Life and Love Life because I like to pretend all of Candy’s money went to student loans/ a new business that hasn’t made profit yet, respectively. And still, Candy is living her best boujee life going shopping all the time and buying new clothes, despite surviving off of like...$35 a week (if you log in every day, if you don’t then it’s even less).  It’s very relatable to the struggles of a 20-something year old these days (especially if you live in the United States like I do).

About Rayan’s New Plot...

I know I’m probably going to get a lot of hate for this. And I’m going to clarify that Rayan is my favorite LI, so I’m not *against* him. And I’m ALSO going go clarify that MEN CAN BE VICTIMS TOO.  But I think making Rayan a victim of false accusations for behaving inappropriately with a student was a stupid plot point considering in the University timeline, he LITERALLY goes behind the university’s back and throws rules to wind to be with Candy in secret.  In the real world, that’s a very inappropriate relationship. Like, “Uh oh, Rayan is being accused of being inappropriate with a student?!” Well…um…we literally have evidence that he did exactly that because he and Candy messed around behind closed doors. I realize that Candy consented and was into him–but in the real world, that can easily be viewed as a misuse of power/predatory.  If we want to view Rayan as this morally-sound angel, then he should have either quit his job, or waited until Candy graduated to pursue her romantically.  Again, Rayan is my favorite LI. I’m just throwing it out there. Beemoov is dumb for making this plot when they already created a character who pursued one of his students romantically in secret.

i mean, idk, i felt like that was the point. otherwise it wouldn’t really be an arc, right? theyd have no evidence that Rayan was ever inappropriate and the case would fall through pretty easily i assume… 

no hate though, haha. i just dont really see the problem in that regard. unless im misinterpreting, then im sorry.

I totally see what you're saying! I guess to me it seems like another plot that Beemoov thinks they're being cool about, but actually doesn't handle well. They spent all of University Life making teacher x student relationships seem like no big deal. Even when Candy told her friends she was dating him, I think all of them were just like, "Choice! I'll keep your secret. As long as it's love, man." Whereas, if one of /my/ friends was dating a professor in secret, I think I'd have an aside with them and go over dangers. There are folks out there who get bamboozled into doing things for people of power. Very recently, it was revealed that a professor of my local university was telling girls to do inappropriate things to him, and telling them that it was okay because God said it was okay (Or something nutty like that). I actually spent a lot of time in University Life thinking that Rayan was going to be revealed as a big creep. I honestly thought he and Melody were getting up to stuff, alongside him and Candy. And there would eventually be some big reveal. And then when nothing happened and there were no real consequences to their secrecy and rule-breaking, I was genuinely very surprised. Like, "Oh...okay. Guess Beemoov is just romantisizing these types of things after all."  If Rayan /is/ a skeeze and it's coming to light now, that's fine and for the best. (It'll suck for us who have him as our favorite.) Beemoov REALLY likes pulling the rug out from under people, so I could see it being a thing, and story-wise, I guess it'd  make sense.   But if this whole arc is just like a whole, "Oh no! Poor baby Rayan! Oh no! We've got to save him from mean old Marina!" Then I think it's a little dumb, since they already spent so long making it seem okay, and the very thing he's being accused of is something he's technically done in the past, kinda (Only Candy consented).  I dunno. I think it's just a personal thing I guess. I don't imagine that it bothers everyone. It just kinda bothers me.  I want him to be proven innocent. I just think...it’s messy and Beemoov is trying to be cool, I guess. I’m interested to see how it’ll play out.

Honestly, I would be more inclined to play the game if walk-throughs were still allowed.

Does anyone else feel similarly? I used to keep up with MCL and Campus life and I really loved watching playthroughs and keeping up with the story.  I never had enough AP to actually get caught up with anything.  Everytime an episode came out, I would live vicariously through otomeaerie’s videos. Dudes, I used to get EXCITED everytime an episode came out because I wanted to know what happened next even if I wasn’t there myself.  I USED TO SPEND  MONEY ON THIS GAME TO ADVANCE.  But I feel like I’ve been shut off from the MCL world since they banned play-throughs.

IT FINALLY HAPPENED!  This is my fourth time playing episode 15, and I FINALLY got that stinking vintage dress from Auntie!  I’m so sick of Deborah, and I only just met her (for the fourth time).

My current MCL Conspiracy Question:

Because I have a tendency to think everything is a conspiracy....  Because I get so frustrated sometimes, oh my. 

MCL:  I honestly think Auntie’s gifts depend on which astrological sign we choose at the beginning.  I have story replayed episode 15 like 3 times trying to get that stinking vintage dress.  But every time, I just get the camera!  It’s frustrating.  I just want to move on--I’m so sick of this episode.  But I really want that dress.  I feel so stuck.  Am I cursed to get the vintage camera because I am a Pisces?  Do I have a chance?  Or should I just move on?
