It has come to my attention that I have been nominated for Dominant Mark Leader. While this is most assuredly unexpected, if elected I am determined to fulfill my duties to the best of my ability. A position such as this comes with a lot of responsibility, especially when it comes to being able to assist and counsel others if necessary. I appreciate your questions and thank you for them, I have grown quite a bit since coming here to the sanctuary and the events from a few months ago. I think change is important and because I have been working on understanding what it means to be submissive my plan is not only to counsel my fellow submissives but to use any and all resources I have. I have patience for others, I have been working on listening better, and I think my eagerness to learn is a strength in an educational leadership role. No one is ever 100% knowledgeable in their field or in everything the individual is constantly growing. My openness to change at this juncture and my willingness to learn is what I feel will make a great mark leader in terms of my skills.

That doesn’t really answer much of what I asked, though. Like the most important question- what are you going to do if you win, when Subs start coming to you to ask questions about being a Sub? You can listen all day long, but how does that qualify you for giving life-altering advice? What would you do if I asked you for sex advice right now? Are you ready to talk in explicit details about other people having sex? Are you experienced enough in sex to give advice on how to do it safely? What would you do if I asked you how to submit to someone right now? What if I asked you how to define my boundaries? Would you know what to say if I asked you who to go to if I needed to submit? Would you know what to tell me if I asked you how I should ask for it? Do you know the other people here well enough to introduce new people to the facility? Do you really think that you’ve grown and learned enough to be able to hold other people’s personal lives and submission in your hands? What education have you pursued? Do you really trust your decision making and advice that much already? You say you’re a lot different, but what have you done to learn and grow? I’m staff here, I know you’re really only talking to Janelle as a mental health counselor as far as staff interactions. From the place you were at before to being eligible for Mark Leader, you have a lot of growing and learning to do. I mean, your literal excuse for doing a lot of really bad stuff was that you were uneducated, so I think my concern is valid. In order to learn, you need to reach outside of yourself to educate yourself. You said yourself that you were totes uneducated and you didn’t know what it meant to be a Submissive. I know what you said you knew well, you were with my Dom, after all. From there, you haven’t spoken with the tutor to ask him about being a Submissive. You haven’t reached out to any of the previous Submissive Mark Leaders. You haven’t reached out to any of the Submissive teachers or staff. You’ve hung out alone, had fun on the Sanctuary’s dime, and sniffed around boys. The only teacher you interacted with was the human anatomy professor, and that was before any of the class material had anything to do with D/s or BDSM. All recreational and dick-centric activities. I just think you’re being foolhardy and jumping the gun. Which is dangerous. You’re talking about trusting yourself as an expert on submission and being a Submissive. You’re talking about considering yourself an expert on being in a relationship and being healthy with your needs. You’re claiming to be an expert on sex. As far as I know, you’re none of those things. I don’t think you’re being honest with yourself. I think you need to focus on educating yourself. Use the resources that are hosted here. Reply to class info. Talk to teachers. Talk to the tutor. Ask questions. Learn. Then come back to this.

How are you going to guide your peers towards being better Subs? What tools do you think you have for taking an educational leadership role?

For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Emerson Crawford and I teach the three core dominance classes. Here to lead the leaders, and all that jazz.
