More Self Defense!
This is a picture of a karaoke night I had for my residences. It was a lot of fun!
The blood drive was a huge success, thanks to everyone who came out and support the cause!

My first (completed) program of the year was called The Art of Getting By: Thrifting, which as aimed at teaching the students how to stay fashionable on a college budget. After giving them some do’s and don’t’s of thrift shopping, we took a group trip to Little Five Points to visit some of their shops and take in the atmosphere. The program was pretty successful and the residents who attended seemed happy at having found new shopping prospectives.
Perdue Hall Kickback Jam Session
Team meeting on Tuesday’s. This meeting featured as guests the new Chief of Police and Dean Hall.
On Thursday, October 17, 2013, prior to the official launch of homecoming, the Robert Hall staff hosted a hall meeting to make residents aware of specific homecoming etiquette techniques and precautions including visitation rules and regulations, hoemcoming “dos” and “don’ts,” and quiet hours within the residence hall.
During this meeting, we also completed our residence hall directory and received a speech from our residence hall presidence, Seretsi Lekena.
Serving as one of our programs, Onteria and I shot the above video to illustrate the subjectivity of the Avant Garde learning community within Joseph T. Robert Hall. We interviewed a few of our residents to learn their perceptions of what it means to be “Avant Garde,” and also listened to their respcetive journeys on how they came to this illustrious institution.
Rape or no rape program presented by the Perdue Hall Council. 11/12/13.

RA Jermaine Blakley, RA Keyshon Williams, and RA Matthew Ellis takes Residents to perform community service at Morning Glory Transitional Home. Great experience. Cleaned the transitional home for homeless women and cooked food to pass out downtown the following Thursday.
Hubert hall participating in the first RHA Fundraiser of the year. Working at the stand we brought in $19,000 for the dome and close to $3,000 for RHA and Hubert hall! Which hall is next??
The 4.0 Club is an initiative started by me. So many of the freshmen came in so eager to learn and insisted that they were getting straight A’s. However, as the semester progressed, I noticed that not many of them were doing what it takes to get there.
Thus, the 4.0 Club was born. It a talent cohort of the great men of Hubert hall. Each dedicated member of our 9 person group is dedicated to earning the best grades and being the most wholistic student possible.
We have taken personality assessments, study habit assessments, implemented the use of Google Calendar, and have gotten into the habit of jotting down our thoughts.
The club studies 6 nights per week for at least 2 hrs per session.
Today, each member received their own personal door decoration. The dec features the newly designed 4.0 Club logo and serves as a reminder to the gentlemen of what we are trying to make of ourselves.
We may have gone into this blindfolded, but I’m sure we will come out with great vision!
