jokes on you ;
“can’t we just bet cheetos,” he muttered under his breath, but he understood enough. it would make it a lot easier if money was put on the table. fate seemed to hate him because of his curse, so it would only make sense for accuracy sake that he offered up money in exchange for losing. he really hoped she did give the money back.
he listened to what she wanted to say before he grabbed the dice. he frowned a bit at them before dropping them to the table. he deadpanned at the ‘one’ he received. he saw that coming, but he looked at her, “do you just want me to keep going ahead with this? or did you wanna keep track at just how awful this is going to be?”
honestly, while he understood why she found this all hard to believe because how can someone’s luck be that bad, but it was. he sighed, “ah, this is always so depressing.”
namjoon looked at the dice again before picking it up and dropping it again. once again, he got a one. he chuckled, “if you bet me that i can’t keep getting one, i probably won’t get a one again.”
the faery stared at him for a moment. though a one didn’t seem that hard to roll (it is only a six sided die after all) she knew that maybe this was only the start of the bad luck. she shrugged. “i can keep a mental note. no big deal.” although she had to keep track of how many times he rolled. statistically speaking, he should hit four or higher at least 6 rolls in. obviously there’s outliers and such but by a certain number, it should be impossible that he hasn’t rolled a four or higher. “i’m just trying to see the conditions in which the bad luck applies to.”
another one roll. also, not surprising as sometimes people get lucky and roll the same thing several times in a row. ironically speaking, of course. “oh just relax,” she says with a scrunched nose. “it’s not that serious. it’s just an experiment.” and maybe she can help him accordingly. only maybe, considering she’s sure that she can figure out something. though it’s not impossible to break the curse. there was just so many conditionals to take into consideration.
“the only sad thing is that this happened so long ago. i have no idea if it’s purely which magic -- which i doubt -- or enhanced magic.” she waved her hand dismissively. “we’ll play around later. just keep rolling and we’ll slowly add more conditions to it.” she’s sure money will definitely influence it. perhaps anything that results in something benefiting him in some way will change his rolls entirely. she just has to see how this plays out until then. “roll five more times and then i’ll change the rules.”
