Comic web evaluation
you checked my pixton in class
Project time - website evaluation!
Create a children’s book (using StoryBird) or a comic (using Pixton) that is designed to teach middle schoolers about website evaluation. Â
If you create a comic: you must chose the “sunday funny” comic type and select one of the templates with seven frames.Â
If you create a storybird: you must select a template of artwork and your book must be at least 10 pages (with text on all of these pages) long.
HW #10 - Project time!
1. Â Finish your Pixton or Story Bird and post the public link to your Tumblr. Â If you worked with a partner you BOTH must post the link on your Tumblr; you will not receive credit for this assignment (two homework grades) if you do not post the link.
2. Â Please finish your Fact or Opinion worksheet if you did not finish it in class. Â I will be collecting it at the next Digilit class so please remember to bring it with you!
FACT OR OPINION?
FACT or OPINION?Â
Look at the sites listed below.  In addition to thinking about don’t just think about what the sites cover and whether they’re accurate or not, but also what biases they might have.  Complete your worksheet as you look at each site. Â

1. Keeping in mind the materials from today’s class (tumblr entries, video, worksheets, and discussion), please think about one website that you have used in the past for school research purposes. In a text post on your tumblr, please POST THE URL OF THE WEBSITE and answer the following questions: http://www.nbcnews.com/id/3032507 What about this website do you like? Not like? Does this website meet most of the “Five Ws” criteria as a legit source? Why or why not? Knowing what you know now after today’s class, would you continue to use this website as a source for school research? Why or why not? This website is very helpful because it is organized and well layed out. The website represents the W’s such as who, what, where, when. I would use this website for further research because it is helpful and credible. 2. Finish the “Shady or Legit” worksheet we began in class and bring it to your next Digi Lit class.
