Reasons why we care so much for our betta fish

Most people typically think of a betta fish as just a small animal incapable of fulfilling the role as a pet, or as a decoration. The reason why we love our fish and are sensitive about the subject of care, is because there are too many misconceptions and misinformation spread constantly. We often times feel empathy for these fish because they are unintentionally or intentionally abused by ignorant people. Because betta fish are living creatures, we feel passionate about giving them the proper care they need. No animal should be denied of their necessities. Just because an animal is cheap, or seems to small or unimportant, doesn’t mean that it’s ok to neglect them or abuse them. If you want to know whether something is humane or not, ask yourself “How would I feel if I was this animal?”
