for a while after taking the photos, i couldnāt stop looking at it and didnāt want to post anything from this set at all anywhere let alone here for anyone to see.
but then i gave it a day or two.
i would occassionally go back through the photos and made myself seek out the parts of me that i found to be beautiful, positive reinforcement.
my dimples were the very first place i went, well the only place. i was having a horrible detailed monologue detailing all my imperfections on a loud speaker in my mind.
to some of you reading this, youāre probably scoffing in disbelief because you seemingly think different. you either see someone else entirely, or-
i canāt look into the mirror and see the positives sometimes. iāll take a glance at myself in a shitty mirror in the makeup aisle of a Walmart and want to immediately rush home from the embarrassment of āhaving my faceā.
thatās how many feel day to day, doesnāt matter how beautiful or amazing you may think someone is. you donāt know whatās going on in their head, you donāt know their internal struggles or battles because you are not that person.
you could be reading this right now and be feeling the exact same way as i did about my photos.
but please listen to me, hear me out. there isnāt a single perfect person on this entire planet. we are ALL human. some are better than others at things, some are in the spotlight, some are so amazingly talented in various fields but youād never know it because they chose a life of anonymity because having a family was more important to them.
we are all so beautiful in our uniqueness and what we each individually put out into the world.
there isnāt anyone else exactly like you.
and iām okay with that.
