its my birthday in a few minutes.
i feel somewhat guilty. I feel like I shouldnt have stayed alive. But at the same time, im happy because I have met so many people and changed and learned. Things have been rough and I myself have been pessimistic, but I think it does get better a d if it doesnt. I will make ir better myself. Happy birthday not only to me but also to the girl I was and the person I will be
sometimes I feel embarrassed of my hyperfixation on napoleon. I know he wasnt a good person, and I probably am too senseless, seeing that I enjoy reading about him. I feel guilty.

I always thought conversations like that should be more private. thankfully my family is more patient with me (I think because most are neurodivergent so everyone already has had atleast 1 controversial interest) but I barely make friends because im always scared they will get the wrong impression. I do think napoleon was a bit more than mean though. also what AU? I am interested, if you are okay with saying it jsjs.
lollll my families more patient w it too😅 and it wasn’t like a huge conversation that my friend and I were having it was just back and forth talk and they’re still friends w me lol. And also all I meant with “AU” is that he’d just be a silly lil guy but yah, he didn’t do the best things….😶😶
i understand now! I thought it was somewhat like a scolding— glad to see it was not ^^ about AU I thought it would be some fantasy-history thing, it seems to be common for them to exist in the community so I was interested, but I understand better. I guess it is like playing dolls? I can definitely relate if it is like that.

The fear of people being weirded out not just because Napoleon can be seen as a negative figure, but also because it mayblook as a weird interest to have per se. And when you develop it when you're in a class where everyone bullied you already, it makes you feel vulnerable. How could one hope about sharing it?
Not to mention the fear of being seen as someone who politically supports dictatorship because people may (wrongly) associate Napoleon to XX century dictators (and I'm Italian, so we had one ourselves). So I always rather say "I'm passionate about Napoleonic era" or say Napoleon but immediately specify "not for his political career but his personal life, like it was an addictive tv series they have not done yet"
