A late post but black metal definitely exists mostly because of Euronymous especially the Norwegian scene but as a whole his attitude to everything related to it can be seen even today he surely set trends and helped many people make music that they wanted to and he had a lot of wishes for music which he couldn't fulfill but what he left will still be listened to by many people in many years more for sure Rip King you deserved better
