GENERAL RULES (copied from initial post):

Please only improve your Mech's standing by honorable means. Propaganda and fanworks are encouraged. Botting, trash talk, and harassment are NOT.

The primary criteria you should be considering when casting votes is "Do I want to see this mech pregnant and/or raising children afterward?" This is not a poll about the sexiest mech, though we acknowledge that as an important criteria to many folks.

IMO the only sexy Bayverse transformer is Optimus in 4 and 5, those flame decals and his cheerleader outfit is 🤤

His 4&5 design is very silly (affectionate). I usually like his 07 design a little more, but the Knight design is a solid choice

Guys can you keep your continuity opinions to yourselves. You’re being obnoxious and you’re going to annoy the people who do like the parts of bayverse that you don’t. I’m not a fan, but it’s not cool to see you act this way because this is supposed to be fun for everyone. Also are you adults or kids genuinely asking.

One, this is our blog. If the way it's being ran matters this much to you, you are welcome to block it. In fact, I encourage you to do so.

Two, yes, this is supposed to be fun for everyone! The mods are also included in that! We're not robots, anon, we're in this fandom too. And honestly? We've done a pretty good job keeping our opinions to ourselves otherwise. Trust me.

On the note of the bayverse ask: sure, we could have worded our answers better. I would like to note that neither of us think that being a bayverse fan is a bad thing. That would be ridiculous, though I can see how it could have come across that way. That Anon was curious about something and we were explaining. I shouldn't have said "those movies are stupid," what I really mean is "I like them, but I'm not calling them high art." Read that again. I like the bayverse. They're incredibly fun, they obviously have a lot of hard work put into them, and they present a very different take on Transformers. I like the designs too! They're not my favorites and sometimes I find them hard to read, but they're very cool in their own right!

Chip said the designs are "considered fugly" and the movies are "not considered very good." Also could have been worded more delicately, but again. Anon asked if the designs were unpopular. Chip explained the popular opinion, not their personal opinion.

Now, all that said. If I did hurt anyone's feelings or make them feel unwelcome, I apologize. And if you'd like me, Spike, to keep my opinions to myself, that's fine and I can accommodate, but that request can be made in a less rude manner.

TL;DR: Block us if it's that big a deal. We're also trying to have fun. Chip wasn't even sharing their personal opinions.

Mod Spike and I are kinda new as well, but from what I know, Bayverse designs are considered kinda fugly (and it doesn't help that the Bayverse movies aren't really considered very good) and also. Bayverse is kinda why we use the Maccadam tag (apparently back in the day, people would just tag pictures of the actors, even in non-transformers contexts, with every fucking movie they'd been in and flood the Transformers tag).

What I've gathered is that the fandom has been divided between Bayverse Fans and Everyone Else pretty cleanly since the movies came out. I mean, I like the movies (they're really stupid but they have interesting ideas), but the designs aren't as appealing (generally) as any other part of the franchise. They're also harder to draw, since they have such detailed bodies with many moving pieces.

However, I do like aspects of them. I like when they have insectoid feet or digitigrade legs. That's fun
