TAWNY NEWSOME as Beckett Mariner STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS 2.07: THOSE OLD SCIENTISTS.
the thing with fitz and the doctor is. their relationship is the most codependent thing anyone’s ever seen. it’s almost obscene. they need to get a room forever. like fitz simply wouldn’t leave the doctor for good no matter what the doctor does or says to him and the doctor won’t let fitz die no matter what, even if it breaks all the laws of time. the doctor will spend years repeating the same few moments in the vain hope of saving fitz’s father just because he asked him to. fitz literally knows more about the doctor than the doctor does himself. the doctor lived for 100 years with no tether to his old life save fitz’s name and the tune of a song he composed for him. they sing and harmonize poorly together and think it’s the best and funniest thing ever. fitz makes bad jokes and the doctor can’t help but repeat them fondly. they drink tea together. fitz is a coward in every way except when it comes to the doctor, who is the only one he’d ever risk anything for. fitz says “giving things up for the doctor feels good”. the doctor trusts fitz entirely, sends him off on treacherous missions because he knows he’ll come back. even when all seems lost fitz never gives up on the doctor because he knows he’ll come back. not to mention they suck each other silly
inside job a-plots are like reagan has long since come to terms with the fact that she can’t have friendships or relationships both because of the social isolation her parents forced upon her and because of her father literally altering her mind as a child to further his own agenda but that doesn’t stop it from hurting. she tries again and again to feel capable or worthy of love but always with the belief that even her creations and her closest friends are going to get sick of her eventually because as much as she hates her father she never had a choice in becoming him. inside job b-plots are like illuminati member wes anderson wants to cast brett in his next movie on account of his incredibly symmetrical face
