Even Lestat’s eyes are different up close; blown wide and glassy like bloodshot crystal swallowing the scant warm light from the lamp across the room and refracting it into a million brilliant pieces. They lock onto him with such frightening desperation as his fingers grip Louis’ arm so tight it hurts. Again, he kisses Louis. And again, Louis kisses back.

The veil between them is as silent as ever, but Louis understands the unspoken plea nonetheless as Lestat’s breath comes out panting and hot on his lips— it is a plea for closeness, a plea for stability, a plea for company on this new horizon of discovery.

this is a sincere question: how do people in the amc fandom think THIS version of lestat is likeable?

he's so. freaking. mean.

all traces of his book counterpart's lovable personality are gone completely. canon lestat would be charmed by his fans sending him art, just like he'd treat the mortals around him decently. in tqotd he mentions "the idealistic lovelies who wrote me letters on scented paper" and envisions visiting one of his fans and kissing her. he's not acting like an asshole diva
