Don't Support the FRONT-LINE MASK SHORTAGE!

Media Shop Entertainment and our blog Mask Social Experiment want you to know we DO NOT SUPPORT THE SHORTAGE OF MASK ON THE FRONT-LINES! We are only selling masks that are rated for community protection use.  All our masks are filtered and safe for everyday community usage.  It is our opinion that all rated masks be used on the front lines. Still to date, millions of rated masks are coming into the US as non medical use.  And to date, there is still a shortage of masks and PPE for our front-line workers!  

I have many friends working on the front-lines and the most disturbing news I hear is that they are still short on PPE and have to share N95 masks and gowns. As a consumer, you have probably seen some of these items for sale with labels like N95, KN95, KF94 or Surgical Masks.  These masks are meant for medical but how and why are they being sold to consumers and not being used in Hospitals and on the Front-lines? The reason is due to the crackdown on Imports and Exports of Medical masks, which have restrictions and undergo heavy scrutiny. Importers and Exporters are sending these mask as NON MEDICAL USE to bypass the restrictions and scrutiny.  Why is this a problem?

We are taking Mask away from the Front-Lines and creating a shortage.

Due to the high demand, materials to make masks are becoming scarce.

As materials become scarce, the price keeps going up.

As materials become scarce, they are replacing materials with lower quality products thereby causing quality control issues.

So price is now high for both Front-Line workers and regular Consumers.

So in the beginning we are all guilty of buying a bunch of these Medical grade masks. But at $4-6 each, who can afford and sustain this usage? It also turns out that the general public doesn't need the medical rated quality provided by the KN95 and N95 masks.

Birth of a Blog: MASK SOCIAL EXPERIMENT

COVID-19 has impacted almost everything in our lives.  But we are sure we will rise above and overcome this pandemic in the end.  At Media Shop Entertainment, we noticed the lack of Personal Protective Equipment and wanted to help using our expertise in Sourcing and Distribution.  We considered purchasing Masks from China but with all the issues with recalls and fake masks, and the surge in demand and decrease in commercial international transportation, we decided to take a closer look at the situation.  The main issue was that I saw that anyone and everyone was bringing in KN-95 Mask what at first started off as a project to help the situation began to look like it was causing the problem.

Many people will agree that there are quite a few people making lots of money from these masks.  It was better at the beginning but now its slowing down quite a bit. The fact is many Americans are still not convinced that they should wear masks. There are too many people saying to many different things to know what is going on and to top it all off these guys bringing in KN95 and medical grade masks and selling to the general public are retailing them on average for about $4-6 per mask.

So what are we going to do about it?  First of all, that is why we are creating this blog which I have renamed: MSE: MASK SOCIAL EXPERIMENT where we will discuss topics about masks and society and how by using masks, we can restart the economy and stop the spread of COVID-19.  The second thing we plan to do is to provide masks on our site.  We will start with disposable hygiene masks from Korea. We can bring in large amounts of these if the demand is still there but i have sample amounts for sale. I plan on lowering the prices to just cover cost and shipping. Lastly, I wanna make known that we are working on a mask for this social experiment.  One that is going be cost effective, reusable, comfortable, fashionable, and filtered. Media Shop Entertainment is starting a blog called Mask Social Experiment.  

In this blog we hope to organize information about masks and provide some opinions and document our development of our own MASK, that will hopefully be used by everyone as an Everyday mask so that we can return to our jobs and have a sense of normalcy.
