Lammas~
The early anglo saxon festival of the harvesting season. Loaves of bread were baked into the shape of a wheatsheaf to celebrate good harvest and abundant yields of crops in the autumn 🍂

The Men-an-tol stone ( crick stone) of Cornwall. Its quite cool that the British Isles have such fascinating stones and natural landscapes riddled with myths and legends. The crick stone is said to have healing properties and is a portal to the fairy world!
English Ivy 🍃
I love how English Ivy looks, climbing and winding and drooping along walls, trees and buildings. Definitely wanted to do a piece on it!
Blue Boar 🐗 💙
Pen illustration of an earlier illustration I done on this
Quick red apple and blossom illustration 🍎🌸
Fly agaric 🍄
A magical mushroom illustration I finished yesterday ✨️ again going with the red theme which am quite enjoying and sticking with slavic patterns and themes.
Poppies~
Really wanted to work with alot of red aesthetics and nothings more red than beautiful poppy flowers. Using influences fr medieval slavic patterns and colours, and vintage book covers. Love working in minimal colours it really makes the primary colour pop out.
Wealth and Prosperity~
Another botanical heraldic illustration I've not long finished.
The heraldic image of the wheatsheaf used in coat of arms symbolised wealth, prosperity and abundance. Some European medieval counties used this as a mark of status for a wealthy and fertile land with good crop yields and stability ( the English County of Chester uses this heraldry).
Heirloom~
Mostly finished, a piece I had in my head to work on for ages and actually got round to doing it before it left my head 🙃
I really felt for a dark plum/ blackberry colour scheme for my next illustration s d have been looking at old vintage book covers for inspo. I love blackberries ( love blackberry jam), and blackberry brambles so this inspired this work!
The Queen 🐝
Had fun doing this illustration inspired by one of nature's hardest working insects.
Here he is, a very Regal Rabbit off on official royal duties! Now available as an A5 print 🐰 link in my bio 🌹
A5 royal medieval heraldic oak art print now available on my etsy site 🌳
Got new bookmarks over on my shop 🍐 Pears and Pear blossoms in a medieval tapestry inspired pattern design 🌸
Handmade medieval tapestry style Pear and Pear blossom bookmark
Henry the 8th and Catherine of Aragon. A tudor tapestry design I done inspired by Henry the 8th's first marriage to Spanish wife Catherine of Aragon. Their heraldry was a tudor rose of England, and a pomegranate from Catherine's native Spain. Catherine however was married to his brother Arthur Tudor until his untimely death in 1502 at just sixteen. To keep both countries alliance, it was decided that Catherine would marry Henry Tudor.
This marriage was infamous for Henry's decision to split with the Catholic Church and the pope. He would take up the role as head of a new church( Anglican Church of England), and annul his marriage to Catherine in 1533 to pursue other court noblewomen such as Ann Bolyen ( and even rumours speculate her sister Mary). Poor Catherine was banished from court and died in 1536 at Kimbolton Castle to which Henry did not acknowledge.
Pears and pear blossoms
An illustration I've been working on. Been looking at medieval botanical art, in particular tapestry and fruit. I done this pear illustration with pen 🖊 Possibly do another with pomegranates, a significant fruit in the medieval period ( as symbolised by Henry the 8th's first wife Catherine of Aragon).
Royal Oak 🌳
Getting this done as a new print :)
A Regal Rabbit 🐇
A redo of an old illustration expanded on. I thought he also deserved fancier clothes as he is part of the royal court so he's gotta look his most Spectacular 🐰 This will be an A5 print soon to purchase! Done in watercolour and pen
