40 Days of Meditation with Mahavatar Babaji

OM Chanting today

We did a big OM Chanting at home today for the first time ever. It was really intense actually. Immediately as I started with the first OM, I got a big headache. Eventually, today's the 2nd half of the Chanting, I saw a light. It was the first time I remember seeing a light like that. It was really cool actually. It was golden, darkish, little reddish. It had a center point. And actually the light was bright, white and golden. From behind it and emanating was the reddish darker color. It looked like the Olympic sculpture. It was mesmerizing. For a moment I forgot everything and everyone who was there and my best with them. It was just so cool to experience that light. Babaji 's face was slightly coming into vision behind/with the light too. Thanks for that experience Babaji and Guruji.

See me

What's with wanting to be in front of the camera lens all the time? I'm used to seeing my photos on my social media and also in other social feeds. Having to be behind the lens and not having my image show up, being visible, being front and center made me feel a little bit weird. Why do I feel like I have to be seen? Do I not exist if I'm not visible? And why is that?

In truth everything and everyone is a shadow of the Beloved, and our seeking is His seeking and our words are His words… . We search for Him here and there, while looking right at Him. Sitting by his side, we ask: ‘Oh Beloved, where is the Beloved?'  Enough with such questions! Let silence take you to the core of Life. All your talk is worthless when compared with one whisper of the Beloved.

Similar but different

Yesterday I had a long talk with my friend in Australia. It's so clear to me that we are connected. It's so clear that we love each other and we are like sisters. However it's also so clear that there is something missing between us. When she talks about her Guruji, it's not the same conversation almost. Something is missing when that happens. I long so much to be able to talk to subside who feels the same way about him as I do. The love of a Guru and the love that the Guru had for you, is so rare to find that.

ADVICE

It's easy acceptance is so easy if one puts one ego aside and you just happily follow what your Guru tells you as you know that it is the best for you It is only hard when you cling to your own ideas or your perception of things otherwise if you just let go and let his will be done then all thinking of hard or easy or this is right or wrong or whatever just simply disappears

The seven chakras

They are like various points on a rivers journey from its source to is end in the ocean

At the top, beginning, your awareness of being a part of the divine is higher. Towards the end, your awareness that you are divine is less. In a small stream, each particle if water feels it is a water. Towards the end, when it's a big river, it's identity as a small particle is more easily lost, v or not perceived   it feels more like a big river then the original particle of water

The charts are the same

At the top, your awareness that you are a part of God is higher Towards the bottom, it's less

It is all him. Entirely. But our awareness of it is what varies, the degree of it varies 

The identity changes from being a part of him, knowing your source, to knowing not your source but your destination Once in the ocean, you don't easily remember your individuality. God is everywhere then You may still long for him, for your source, for the awareness of feeling and knowing where you came from People and his creation may take the water from the stream and at the top, you will be aware when your water is taken up. This is like the good qualities. It is rare so when it is taken, you miss them, because there is smaller quantity of water at this stage Toward the end, when there is a big river, it is all the bad quality, and they are abundant. Paper come and take from them, his creation confess and uses it, and there is penny more to go around. You don't miss it. There is so much of it. Either way, even at the top, it will get replenished. From the source, from him. Protect the easter in the little stream. Strive towards the purity of it. Go back in your heart. Go from the dhara to Radha.

Devote the mind to the service of God alone. 

How do I serve God with my mind? Thinking on him constantly? Studying about him? Thinking of how to serve others? Should I be focusing on quantity of people served or quality of service even if to just one person?

The 3 different levels of consciousness of the atma

1. The heart level - step towards the consciousness, still feeling physically, still trying to hear with physical ears, aware of inner reality and outer reality. - physical feeling - But, feeling from the mind makes you attached to the outside - feeling from the heart, you are still listening with your physical heart but you are aware that the mind is trying to do that Heart consciousness means the mind is united with the heart. It is still active but not controlling. What is important at this stage is to focus the mind and not let it run loose. Utilize the mind to enter the heart and by doing so, let the heart open up. Let the mind run internal, not external. The mind is active, but the heart is taking over little by little. after it has taken over, it starts transforming, evolving. That's when the heart rises and the consciousness reveals itself. 2. Consciousness - different voice than the heart's voice. deeper, more grand. more intense. This is when the love of God reveals itself. The consciousness evolves itself and then finally you can perceive the atma level. 3. Atma - unphysical reality. - when you are fully concentrated on the atma which is the true self, then the consciousness itself evolves and it becomes Supra consciousness, divine consciousness, god consciousness.

How is Atma Kriya different?

It's like a family. Why? Because there is love in it. There is love within the techniques. Amongst the students, from the teacher and ultimately from the Guru. From Guruji and from Babaji. That's what makes it different.

Internal dialogue in meditation June 18 2016

Q: do you believe the Guru Mantra is the most precious jewel you have?

Me: silence

And thinking that Guruji is the most precious jewel that I have.

Guruji: but you don't have me.

Me: That's so true. However I do have my Guru Mantra bc you gave it me. So yes, that is the most precious thing that I have.

Last weekend of June 2016.

“Keep your eyes on him.” 

I had a long chat with Mallika today and this is the advice she gave me. 

What was it about? I’m having trouble understanding why I don’t feel love from a certain devotee of Guruji’s and why in the place of love, I feel pain when it comes to this person. 

Am I supposed to be listening to her since she is my superior or should I be listening to him (Guruji) and only him?

The answer is obvious. I should only listen to him since he’s my Guru. 

The problem is this who seniority thing. My “nature”, my swabhava (or is it samskara?) is to listen to my elders and respect my seniors. I rarely rebel. I would really have to believe your ideology is stupid in order for me to disregard your wishes or commands if your are more senior to me. So, it’s difficult to just ignore the fact that this person doesn’t want me to do certain things. 

But Guruji wants something different and that’s what it’s going to have to be. 

On your spiritual path, the only person you can trust is your Guru. Even more than you can trust yourself.

I was sad today. I don't know what it was. Maybe my ego. My resistance perking up because I've worked hard today and gotten some traction. It hit me hard. My resistance. It kicked me where it hurts. I was comparing myself to others like crazy. Then I sat down for my Kriya. The tears started. The purification started. Guruji, I'll get there someday. I realised that it is through meditation that I can distinguish between the voices of my ego and my guru. My higher self is my guru. My guru is my all. I was told be hollow. I remembered the memory of my first Darshan. I tried to transfer that love from my Ajna to my heart where Babaji dwells but I panicked and didn't think I was worthy. I was told again just to hollow myself. It became easier. Guruji told me to "go get Tuffer" again. I said I'm trying and he said he knows. He said do t worry I'll come and get him. I think he means in Australia. I'm happy.
