Do you mind if I ask whatās lead you to delete your ao3 account?
The reason Iām deleting is because:Ā
1) Iām not really involved in fandom anymore and will probably never complete another fanfiction. I just donāt have the drive for it anymore. I wanna tell stories that are completely my own.
2) I want to have my own work published one day, hopefully in the next year or so, and hopefully a lot of it. I donāt wanna have stuff from my old fics coming back to haunt me (Starts With F, Iām looking at you here, buddy). Iām trying to separate myself from it as best I can to remake myself into who I wanted to be all along: a published author. Fanfiction is and was an important part of my life and my growth as a writer, and Iāll always respect it for that, but I need to leave that part of life behind to commit to my new life.
3) Iām considering orphaning just No Homo, but thatās dependent on my going back in and removing all connections to my blog, which Iām not sure Iāll do. So itās safer to just give the warning and let people have their own copies.
4) WITH THAT IN MIND, I do ask that no one republish it. Sharing a zip or pdf or mobi or whatever is fine, but please donāt put anything back up on a fanfiction website. I would really appreciate that this request is respected.
Itās been a fun ride on the Archive, but every ride ends at some point and you have to set your feet back on the ground. I appreciate everyone whoās been on that ride with me, more than you know, and I hope that if youāre looking for more of my work, you stay tuned for the original work coming your way. I donāt expect to retain much in the way of readership, but Iām still here! Iām still writing! Itās just, well, a bit better now. I put more work into it. And I hope that yāallĀ will come to see that!
