‧₊˚ ┊ Lilia doesn't cry very easily himself, but that doesn't mean he's inexperienced with handling tears. When you've lived as long as he has, you learn how to cope with all manner of things — including crying. It certainly helps that Lilia spent a good chunk of those years basically raising three boys, so he's picked up plenty of tips and tricks to help ease one's tears. (Although he may not seem like it now, Sebek had the most crying outbursts of the three boys. He'd cry whenever he got frustrated or overwhelmed, but has since become too proud to cry over what he deems 'silly, trivial emotions').
‧₊˚ ┊ Lilia is incredibly observant, so he'll be able to tell when you're on the verge of tears quite quickly. Once he realizes you're about to cry, he quickly and calmly asses what he needs to do to help you through it. Given how intense — for lack of a better word — crying can be for you, Lilia's main concern is calming you down and stabilizing your breathing. He'll hold your hands and have you take deep breaths with him. Expect plenty of soft touches — if you're okay with it — and reassuring words from Lilia throughout the whole ordeal. (He might go so far as to crack a light joke or two if the mood calls for it. Humor is definitely a coping mechanism of Lilia's, but he knows that it's not for everyone).
‧₊˚ ┊ When it's all said and done and your tears have dried up, Lilia doesn't say anything. Instead of asking you what's wrong or trying to get you to open up about what upset you — which he does encourage, but never forces you to do — he simply holds you close instead. More often than not, the two of you will just sit quietly or lay down together, which usually results in a shared nap. If you do choose to speak up and share what made you cry in the first place, Lilia will diligently listen and offer you some guidance, support, or whatever else you might need. (Do expect him to be a lot more affectionate with you afterwards. After seeing you cry and go through so much distress, all Lilia wants to do is hold you close to his chest where nothing bad can ever make you shed a tear ever again).
‧₊˚ ┊ Due to the sheer amount of power he holds, Malleus has been constantly trying his best to keep his emotions in check, lest he cause some sort of natural disaster. When he cries, the heaves open up and unleash a temporal downpour of rain and when he's mad, the very earth shakes and threatens to split open beneath his feet. While he was quite a little terror in his youth, Malleus has learned how to keep himself from getting too worked up. That being said, he's not exactly the best person to have by your side when you find yourself stricken with tears.
‧₊˚ ┊ Another downside of Malleus' rather isolated upbringing are the glaring gaps in his social skills. He, of course, has all the pristine poise and manners expected of a royal, but none of his etiquette lessons taught him how to navigate the complex emotions he or someone close to him might experience. When it comes to your crying, Malleus has no clue what to do. He'll freeze at the first sight of a tear, his expression blank while he panics on the inside. Malleus' first instinct is to bring ruin upon whoever or whatever caused you such distress, but your strangled gasps for air makes him quickly switch priorities. (Don't worry, he will make sure he finds who or what made you cry and handle it himself. He can't have anyone making his dearest child of man shed a tear, now can he?)
‧₊˚ ┊ Given his lack of familiarity with this sort of thing, Malleus does what he can to help you calm down. He'll pull you close to his chest so you can listen to his heartbeat while he pets your hair and whispers comforting words. If that doesn't work, then Malleus will call upon the soothing techniques he's witnessed Lilia employ over the years. These efforts are just as much to calm himself down as they are to calm you. Malleus hates seeing you cry. It stirs up all kinds of emotions he's been taught to withhold, which is by no means your fault. He just cares about you and hates seeing you in such a state. Thankfully, Malleus usually doesn't get worked up enough to cause a typhoon, but expect a light rainstorm, some harsher-than-usual winds, and maybe some distant thunder. (On the bright side, you now have the soothing sound of rain to help you calm down! Just listen to the gentle pitter-patter and relax with Malleus, because he's not letting you out of his sight any time soon.)
