Because the hyperfixation chooses the autistic person, this is where I think the major characters in school of rock would be in 2026:
are these good school of rock headcanons for where the kids and Dewey would be in 2026?
This is where I picture all of the characters in 2026:
Dewey and Ned are obviously still running the school of rock afterschool programme and loving it. They’ve taught hundreds of kids at this point and changed tons of their lives through music.
Zack has made it as a rock star with a pop rock band called Room 95 which I based heavily on Mcfly. In rebellion against who his dad wanted him to be and going on his own musical path, he’s massively successful making joyous fun pop rock. His band headlined Glastonbury at one point and it was the greatest night of Dewey’s life.
Billy worked in fashion for a while, before making it in stand up comedy as one of those comedians who roasts the hell out of everyone. When he announces that he’s started doing stand up and then that he’s quitting his fashion job to do it full time, everyone is really surprised and then not surprised at all once they think about it for more than 5 seconds.
Freddy is a session drummer in underground punk bands. I love the idea that him and Zack are at such opposite ends of the music world and yet they’re both 1. Successful in their fields and 2. They’re still best friends. Even though Freddy constantly teases Zack for being a “pop prince”
Summer is a terrifyingly efficient lawyer. When she’s working at a trial with a public gallery Dewey occasionally goes and treats it like he would treat Zack or Freddy’s gigs.
“Mr Cool” Lawrence works in creative marketing, creating arty campaigns that all his colleagues agree are incredibly cool.
Tomika is a Broadway singer who has also released several albums, does tours and regularly covers show tunes and rock songs on her YouTube channel. To the public this looks a bit random but Dewey is super proud that she’s keeping her rock soul even though she sings showtunes for a living
Lining up with Rivkah Reyes’ real life identity, Katie grew up to be queer and non binary, going by Kit and using they/them pronouns. They run a vintage clothing store.
Same for Z Infante who played Gordon in real life – Gordon is a non binary actor known as G Infinite.
Marta is passing the love on to the next generation as a choir teacher.
Alicia works in accounting but sings in community theatre in her free time
