i started learning how to use ableton to make electronic music and my first project includes sampling sounds from The Sims 1, which included extracting all those files from the SoundData.far file

so here is a link if anyone would like to peruse the sounds or would like to use them. i didnt convert anything so most are .xa files but VLC plays those (also hmu if you need a program to convert them to .wav)
