Picking the right setting can prove to be difficult and is such a vital part in the overall success of the date.

Firstly, you will need to have a rough idea of your date’s personality (this should go without saying, right?) and find a middle ground for the two of you. The romantic girl will not want to get a coffee and the shy girl may faint at the idea of a dimly lit dinner.

Getting over a break up

Breaking up is a part of life. You just can’t avoid it, it happens to everyone that doesn’t marry their childhood sweetheart. Sometimes you leave someone behind, and sometimes you are the one that gets left behind. Dealing with it can often be difficult regardless of what side you were on. We’ve prepared a little, somewhat humorous guide on how to deal with a break up and get back in shape to hunt for some new hot stuff!

Spend some time alone.

Certainly, you can ask for the support of your friends, but don’t just fill your whole schedule with it - try to find some quiet time for thinking about your past as well. It may not be pleasant but if you keep avoiding the subject, you’ll never get over it.

Cry if you want to.

It’s not healthy to hold up all the emotion inside. Find a quiet corner, take some time for yourself and just let go of everything. Make sure you remove any valuable, easily-breakable objects from your reach before you start, though!

Dating Do’s And Don’ts - Things That Will And Things That Will Not Make A Good Impression On the First Date

Romance is fun, but it can be somewhat antagonising at the same time. When we were still in high school asking someone out was sometimes really scary, but we figured it would get easier with time. It did, but only to a certain degree. Maybe we’ll get the real hang of it by the time we’re old and wrinkled like those funny dogs. Still, we did gain some experience and did a little more research on it, just to tell you the most common and worst mistakes you can make during the first date. This guide is not intended to be the one and only oracle on what is right and what is not, but we’re hoping it will help you avoid dates than abruptly end when your date excuses him or herself, goes to the bathroom and never comes back.

Do be nice.

Gentleman stuff is always in style, regardless of your gender being nice simply makes you more likable and easier to get along with.We don’t mean to say that you have to leave your assertiveness behind when you go out with someone or else you’ll have nothing to discuss, but please don’t question everything they say. That’s not showing off your intelligence/power/confidence/anything else, it’s just rude and irritating.

Don’t be stiff.

Human emotions and attitudes are a funny thing - they tend to spread from one human being to another. If you look like you’re uncomfortable the whole time while you’re out on the date, it will affect your date. He or she will think that you didn’t enjoy their time with them because of something that he or she has done, rather than it was just you stressing out. Try to take it easy, and if it’s really bothering you, just say that you’re a little nervous. Some honesty is always good in a relationship, romantic or not.

Do enjoy yourself.

Sure you might be currently spending some one-on-one time with the most amazing person you’ve ever met, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t have fun while at it. That is, esentially the main point of having a date (right next to trying improve your chances of developing that relationship into one where you get to wake up in the same bed together), isn’t it? Just relax and entertain yourself  by getting to know the person you’re with better.

Some people have a much faster ‘tempo’ than the others. If you both want to sleep on the first date, great! Do it, have fun and good luck. If you don’t want to, remember that the date is not any sort of a contract. You don’t have to do anything if you don’t want to. Dating is not some sort of a business. It’s a relationship. Similarly, don’t force anyone else to do something he or she might not be comfortable with. In case of doubt, just ask. It’s as simple as that, and don’t worry even if you get a ‘no’ as your answer. You score extra points for being nice and considerate, and your conscience is crystal clear.

Do avoid talking about your exes.

There’s time and place for everything. If you’re just starting out a new relationship, talking about your past partners might not be the best idea. Some may find your number of partners intimidating and the others might think it’s not impressive enough. Save that talk for later and you’ll avoid the negative feelings. It’s a topic that you should talk about, but not in the very first stages of your relationship.

Don’t be someone you’re not.

That guy or girl is having a date with you, not with anyone else. They agreed on it because they wanted to get to know you. Not the person you think you should be to them, you. Even if you turn out to be different from what they’ve expected, you can still build a relationship on that and function. You can’t do it if they like the actor’s mask that you’ve put on for them. Sooner of later they’ll find out your hidden, real persona. Chances are, they’ll like you anyway, but it will damage their trust. Avoid the trouble, be yourself!

Do choose appropriate clothing.

A while ago, one of us saw a surprisingly accurate line of text on the Internet “a suit is to women what lingerie is to men”. We’re not sure if it’s from a movie, literature or just some sort of internet wisdom, but we figure it’s pretty accurate if you’re a man and thinking of what to wear for a date. You can’t go wrong with a suit, trust us on this. As for women, they have a lot more choice, but as long as you feel good in you clothes and it shows off your best parts (just like a well-tailored suit shows off the best parts of male anatomy) you’ll be fine.

Don’t feel bad if it doesn’t work out.

Not everything can always work out the way you want it to. The Advantages of One-Night Stands

One-night stands have been around for much less time than you might think. The trend has appeared sometime around the seventies, when the availability of birth-control pills ans condoms has been increased. Within forty years, it has been a phenomenon-turned-reality, that now many men and women take advantage of. Here’s a list of reasons why you might consider doing it yourself:

One of the most common reasons why people decide to choose to have a one night stands is that they are, probably the fastest way to have sex with another human being.  Most of the time, you do not know the person that you decide to leave the club with. The theoretical constant availability of the one-night stands is what makes them so common - if you can get laid any time you want, why not now?

No responsibilities.

Another charm of the one-night stands, is the fact that they rarely ever carry responsibility with them. As long as you protect yourself from STDs and such, there isn’t much more to worry about in terms of relationship or romance.
