The more you think about what happened in 8x10, the more Adam’s line about Kim believing in him becomes significant.
We don’t know anything about Adam’s mother and/or stepmother, but if Bob was more concerned with gambling than parenting while he was growing up, he essentially didn’t have anyone to support him/root for him/be there, etc. Enter Kim into his life, and that all changed. That is why her question of “what did you do?” hurt him so deeply.

Meet Us at Molly’s is a podcast that was started by three passionate fans of the One Chicago fandom: Gina, Bryna and Ashley. The three of us actually met through the shows, by talking about them constantly on Twitter and then developing a friendship out of those conversations. We soon started to realize that there was no central place for fans to come together and talk about the episodes after they aired -- well, one that gives you more than 140 characters to formulate your thoughts and opinions. We finally decided in August of this year to make this happen. We picked the medium of a podcast because it allows us to have an actual conversation with one another while also giving us as much time as we need to share our feelings. Meet Us at Molly’s launched our first episode on September 1st, just ahead of the shows’ fall premieres. Our episodes themselves are pretty simple: we recap the episodes for each show that aired that week, as well as dive into the latest news, interviews, etc. that came out that week regarding the franchise as a whole. We also only talk about one show per episode; this means that we release at least one episode a week, but most of the time it’s closer to two or three if all three shows in the franchise are airing that week. We hope that you find us on Podbean or iTunes and give us a listen. At the end of the day, we’re just fans of the biggest and most-connected franchise currently on television, talking about why we love this world and these characters so much.
