i just wanna say a few things- i’ll probably make this a pinned post since people do that here. i know a lot of tumblr is lgbt, neurodivergent, etc and i think thats cool! i’m still kinda figuring out where i fit into all of that vis a vis my own identity but i support all of you even if i’m a little clueless, and if i say or do something wrong i am happy to be held accountable and learn and do better.
a lot of people on tumblr also seem to be pretty into politics and doing the right thing, whether thats socially, lgbt+ identities, or like political reform stuff! i also think that is cool. i’m not the most informed on anything but i like people being happy and comfortable and stuff.
that said i don’t really care for discourse at all. nor will i be addressing more serious issues (for the most part anyway). ultimately this blog is supposed to be funny and silly and lighthearted. if you follow me thats okay and yay but i just personally don’t care enough to engage in discourse.
i say this because family guy seems to be a pretty… tough topic, on tumblr at least. its okay, you don’t really have to like it or anything. some of the jokes are pretty mean-spirited, transphobic, etc. part of that is due to age, part of it is disrespect or lack of foresight.
ultimately though, i guess i don’t really care that much. everything will have a few stinkers. not that family guy is really top tier writing but idk. i like things that make me laugh (and cry),
and i also believe that punching down can be funny if if its your own balls you’re punching down at, so to say. not that family guy always delivers there either. but idk.
